“Real Housewives of Miami” star Larsa Pippen stunned Bravo fans this week when she appeared with a dramatically puffed-up face, but the Bravoleb says it’s nothing more than a reaction to a cosmetic treatment. The 51-year-old reality star insisted she suffered side effects from a PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) procedure —a claim met with skepticism from both viewers and a board-certified physician.

“Honey i had PRP and had an allergic reaction so chill out,” Pippen commented under an Instagram post by Dr. Mai Kaga, an internist who had critiqued her appearance.
PRP is a regenerative treatment that “uses a patient’s own blood platelets to promote healing and tissue repair,” according to medical experts. On her Instagram Stories later that day, Pippen told followers her swelling was already “coming down” and urged them to “calm down.”
Kaga, however, wasn’t convinced. “Double board certified physician here AKA Honey,” she clapped back, noting, “Allergic reactions to PRP are extremely rare. You simply will not find allergies to your own blood cells all that common. Second — allergic reactions don’t last 3 seasons on a streaming network.”

While Pippen stood by her account, many Bravo viewers sided with Kaga, pointing out her long-standing denial of other cosmetic work.
“So is she constantly having a reaction on Miami?!?” one person joked online. Another wrote, “This coming from the woman that denied having a bbl Miami’s first season back.”
Kaga emphasized that her original post “was not about Larsa, but about cautioning the current and future generations about being over treated and overfilled, unnecessarily and covering up your own natural features.”
She added, “If even one person can learn from us pointing out what being overfilled looks like, it’s worth this weakass clap back.”

Pippen has openly discussed her procedures in the past. At the season 4 RHOM reunion, she admitted to having her nose, lips, and breasts done. However, she denied having a Brazilian butt lift, telling Andy Cohen, “I literally work out seven days a week.”
The OnlyFans model has also teased drama in the second half of RHOM season 7. In Bravo’s newly released midseason trailer, the cast heads to Spain, visiting Marbella and Seville — but tensions quickly boil over. As Bravo teased in their Instagram caption, “Drama from Seville, to the high seas, and everywhere in between.”
