How TLC’s Micah Plath Overcame His Serious Nose Injury

“Welcome to Plathville” star Micah Plath is stepping back into the spotlight after months out of the public eye following a severe nose injury.

Recent photos of the TLC reality star have resurfaced online ahead of the July 22 premiere of Season 7, revealing his post-recovery appearance—and fans can’t stop praising his resilience.

Moving Forward With Confidence

In May, a post-injury photo of Micah was shared on Isaac Plath’s Instagram Story and later reposted by TV Shows Ace. In the image, Micah’s face appears noticeably different, with his nose looking more prominent than fans remember.

Per Ashley’s Reality Round Up, Micah’s former girlfriend, Veronica Peters, went on to confirm the image was legitimate.

Fans took to Reddit to praise Micah’s post-recovery appearance, with one user commenting, “Wow, the nose is looking lovely,” and another noting, “He really looks like dear ole dad here.”

Peters also revealed on the Reddit thread that while she had scheduled a plastic surgery consultation for him, she canceled it after he decided to move forward independently, writing, “(He) Let it heal as it (is), he had a few stitches.”

Plath’s Modeling Career Put on Hold Due to Family Dispute

Micah, 24, was reportedly injured during a physical altercation with his younger brother Isaac in February, shortly after their sister Lydia’s wedding to Zac Wyse. Veronica later confirmed the details of the altercation on Instagram, alleging that Isaac had “drunkenly rearranged [Micah’s] face” and “nearly killed him.”

Speaking on The Sarah Fraser Show in April, Veronica claimed the injuries caused Micah to step away from modeling. “His nose had been basically ‘ripped off’ in the fight,” she said. Despite this, Micah still lists “Fashion Model” in his Instagram bio, suggesting he hasn’t abandoned the career entirely.

While the incident took a physical and emotional toll, Micah has since reemerged with a quiet sense of strength, and per Peters, his relationship with his brother has been repaired. “They were good seven hours later,” she wrote.

A Quiet Comeback Amid Family Drama

Though the Plath family has not publicly commented on the fight, renewed interest in Micah’s comeback has sparked conversation among fans.

A recent Instagram post from TLC promised a season centered on family and romance, captioned: “New arrivals and fresh drama! Romances and family loyalties are put to the test on the new season of #WelcomeToPlathville, premiering Tuesday July 22 at 10/9c.”

As viewers gear up for Season 7, Micah’s perseverance serves as a powerful reminder that healing—both physical and emotional—is possible, even in the spotlight.
