“90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days” star Ben Rathbun has passed away. The former TLC personality died on Monday morning at his home in Greencastle, Indiana, TMZ reported. He was 55.
Rathbun has been battling with stage 4 stomach cancer, which he was diagnosed with at the end of 2024.
A source told the outlet that Rathbun was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. His wife, Mahogany Roca, was reportedly by his side as well.
The news of Rathbun’s passing was first reported on social media by Instagram page @shabootydotcom.

Meanwhile, fans of the hit TLC franchise were quick to express their shock and heartbreak over Rathbun’s passing. One fan commented on Instagram, “Crazy. He looked so healthy. Reminder that we aren’t promised tomorrow.”
Another wrote,”I’m saddened by the loss of Ben. He had a unique spirit and a powerful impact on those who knew him well.”

Rathbun’s fellow “90 Day Fiance” cast members also shared their condolences and paid tribute to his memory.

Rathbun isn’t the only “90 Day Fiance” star who passed away recently. David Murphey, who appeared on “90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days” Season 4 died in December 2024 due to some health issues.
Jason Hitch from “90 Day Fiance” Season 2 also passed away in December 2021 due to COVID-related complications.

Rathbun, who joined “90 Day Fiance” when he was 52, met his then-22-year-old girlfriend, Mahogany Roca, online. During their time on the show, many doubted their relationship would last, particularly because Roca’s online persona led some to believe she was catfishing Rathbun.
However, the couple proved haters wrong when they finally met face-to-face in Peru. Rathbun didn’t waste time and proposed to Roca right away. They eventually tied the knot and settled down in the U.S.
Both Rathbun and Roca stepped away from the public eye, keeping their relationship largely private. They also deleted their social media accounts after their “90 Day Fiance” stint.
