Travis Kelce Explains How Taylor Swift’s Work Ethic Is Inspiring

During a February 3 press conference ahead of the Super Bowl, Kelce talked briefly about how Swift inspires him with her work ethic.

“I better hold up my end of the bargain, right?” he said. “I mean, if she’s out here being the superstar she is and never taking no for an answer, and always working her tail off, you know, I better match that energy, for sure.”

When asked if he plans to propose to Swift at the Super Bowl, Kelce coyly said, “Wouldn’t you like to know?”

At the press event, Kelce told People how impressed he is with the work his girlfriend puts into touring. “Her work ethic, what I saw on that tour last year, was pretty remarkable,” he shared. “I mean, to see the week in, week out traveling from one country to the next.”

The football star pointed to the teamwork that’s involved in what Swift does. “The band, the singers, it was everybody involved, and it was an absolute machine and it was something I could admire watching and take a lot of notes from,” Kelce noted.

During an interview at the Super Bowl Opening Night, when asked his favorite Swift album, Kelce said “of course,” it’s “The Tortured Poets Department.” He admitted, “I might be a little biased,” however.

“There’s a few on there that are bangers,” he said, pointing to “So High School” and “The Alchemy” as a couple of his favorite songs.

Kelce also dished on Swift’s culinary talents. When asked what she makes that he likes the best, he responded, “Oh, she’s quite the cook.”

He added, “I’m a breakfast guy. Man, her Pop-Tarts are unbelievable. Homemade Pop-Tarts … unbelievable.”

Kelce’s teammate Patrick Mahomes has benefited from Swift’s baking skills as well. During an appearance on “The Drive With Carrington Harrison,” he was asked, “Has Taylor ever baked something for you? And what did she make you?”

He noted that while Swift “has never baked anything specifically for me,” he has had some goodies courtesy of Swift. “But she’s made different treats that have been around my house — muffins and donuts and stuff like that,” he said.
