“I just landed in San Antonio, and I’m devastated after hearing the news of the floods, the deaths, and the young girls that are still missing,” she wrote in Spanish. “I can’t help but think about their families and their immense hurt. My prayers are with you on this sad day.”

Just hours before stepping onstage Saturday night, Shakira shared an emotional message with fans on X (formerly Twitter), announcing that she would donate a portion of her show’s proceeds to Catholic Charities of San Antonio, which has launched a flood relief fund.
“Dear San Antonio, Our hearts and prayers are with those affected by the flood in Central Texas,” she wrote. “We are donating a portion of tonight’s show proceeds to Catholic Charities of San Antonio, who are providing disaster relief to the families impacted.”
Shakira urged her followers to contribute if they could.
