Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco Serve Food to First Responders in LA

On January 16, Gomez and Blanco, who got engaged in December, documented their volunteer efforts on their Instagram Stories. The pair were on hand to serve food to first responders in LA.

Gomez, a former mentor on “The Voice,” took to her Instagram Stories to give a look at what they were up to — unboxing food and placing it on a table for first responders to grab.

“Grateful for these individuals,” Gomez noted on one of her videos. She also shared a look at the food and volunteers in action.

Blanco also shared their experience on his Instagram Stories, including a photo of a van filled with drink options. He wrote, “Thank u guys so much!!!” and tagged the brands Celsius Energy Drinks, Liquid IV, Prime, and SuperGoop.

He also shared a look at the sandwiches from The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills, writing, “Thank you thank you thank you” and an image of members of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. “Thank u to all the first responders national guard and firefighters!!! u guys are super heroes!!!” he wrote.

Blanco posted a snap of Gomez posing with first responders, noting, “We can’t thank u enough.” He also shared, “We are doing more drops!!! Any companies that want to donate pls dm me!!! Thank you again to all the companies that showed up.”


Taylor Swift Donated to 10 Organizations for Wildfire Relief

Gomez’s bestie, Taylor Swift, donated to a number of wildfire relief organizations. In her January 16 Instagram Stories, Swift spoke out on the devastation in LA and shared where she donated.

“The fires in California have devastated so many families, and it’s been heartbreaking to see these stories unfold,” Swift, who was a mega mentor on “The Voice,” explained. “So much suffering, loss and destruction.”

She continued, “As so many people embark on some of the most challenging times of their lives, there are also many amazing organizations and groups banding together to help these communities rebuild.”

The singer added, “These are the organizations I’ve donated to. If you feel compelled or able to donate, please do.” She listed the following organizations:

  • Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation
  • Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles
