‘The Voice’ to Feature Surprise Performer as Competition Heats Up

On the December 3 episode of “The Voice,” fans will get to see a surprise performer take the stage. R&B singer October London will sing “3rd Shift” off of his album, “October Nights,” according to the show’s official Instagram page.

“It’s giving old school, it’s giving smooth as butter, it’s giving @octobertheking. Don’t miss this LIVE performance,” the post read, in part.

For those who may be wondering about a connection to the show, London’s signed to Snoop Dogg’s Death Row Records.

“I met Snoop in 2016 and ever since that moment me and him hit it off. Just having him in my corner and being on this label has been absolutely incredible,” London told Fox 5 New York in October 2024.

This season of “The Voice” has been filled with surprises, including appearances by Lainey Wilson and Olympic gymnast Simone Biles.

“The Voice” airs on Monday and Tuesday nights on NBC.

October London Is Excited About His New Album

Indiana-based London is excited for the release of his second studio album, and opened up about recording the songs on it in a recent interview.

“The rebirth of Marvin, you know, I kept hearing like, ‘I wonder if his second album is going to be as good as the first.’ So I wanted to really go in and make sure that I was touching more fans, more lives; just going all across the board as far as talking about love, as far as pain, and just everyday life,” he told Fox 5 New York.

The album, which was released on October 11, 2024, features 16 tracks, and a few collaborations. The song “Put You On” features Snoop Dogg while “Bedroom Bully” features Tyrese.

Meanwhile, London also appears on Robin Thicke’s new song, “Why Do I,” released in November 2024.
