Watch: Kelsea Ballerini Falls Off Platform at Her Toronto Concert
At her final tour stop in Toronto on April 13, Ballerini had her crew join her on the stage for her performance of the Garth Brooks classic, “Friends in Low Places.”
At one point, a platform on the stage began to rise and Ballerini wobbled and fell off it. She didn’t stop singing, however, taking “low places” quite literally as she performed from the ground.
Video of the fall landed on TikTok and other social media platforms, with one TikTok video explaining, “Kelsea and her crew sang ‘Friends in Low Places’ and she took a spill off her hydraulic lift.”
Another concertgoer snagged video of Ballerini’s fall from a different angle. “Kelsea Ballerini falls off a platform at her last show of the tour in Toronto. She said she was fine with bruises and continued the song (Garth Brooks friends in low places) without missing a beat,” they wrote in the TikTok video‘s caption.
The clip clearly shows the singer getting tripped up as the platform started rising, but she stuck the landing and even gave a great pose as she continued to sing.
The video also shows Ballerini telling the crowd, “I’m gonna have a nice little bruise to go home with.”
Fans Were Concerned About the Singer’s Tumble
Based on the TikTok comments, fans were equally worried and impressed by Ballerini’s fall.
“She just turns any mistake into a masterpiece,” one fan wrote. Another person commented, “Kelsea, your comedic timing is impeccable.”
A third fan raved, “Okay but those notes she hit when she’s on the ground?!?! Like, slay!”
Others wondered why no one helped Ballerini after her fall. “Was none of her crew worried?! It seemed like no one even flinched,” one person pointed out. Another agreed, saying, “Not a single one of those men moved to help her up.”
One person shared, “In her defense, the stage was moving and going up. She’s human like us all but someone could have been a little concerned for her and tried to help her.”
Others noted that they were glad she was okay after the fall. “That looked like it hurt. I’d definitely have a bruise,” one fan commented.
