Kelsea Ballerini Reveals If More Acting Roles Are in Her Future

Kelsea Ballerini made her acting debut in “Doctor Odyssey,” but does the former “The Voice” coach want to pursue more roles? The singer says she wants to “run towards the things that scare me,” and that includes acting.

Kelsea Ballerini Considers More Acting Roles

In a July 2025 interview with Us Weekly, Ballerini discussed how she’s in a new chapter of her life. She admitted that she was scared about her acting debut, but is looking forward to exploring more opportunities.

“I am so open. I’ve never been this open in my life, truly to anything, to whatever the new record is going to sound like or who I make it with or whatever,” Ballerini shared. “If there’s another creative outlet or role or anything that comes my way, yes to anything — to a random trip, like, yes, I’m just open.”

The singer added, “I just want to exist in that openness. I’m in my yes era.”

Regarding tackling more roles, now that she has her first acting project behind her, she’s a little more comfortable about the prospect.

“I’m open. It was so much fun and I really wanted to do it for the longest time,” she explained. “I was like, ‘I’m not going to try acting.’ I was so scared of sucking and failing on camera. How embarrassing is that?”

Ballerini continued, “So I was like, ‘I feel like I should run towards the things that scare me.’ And I tried it and I really enjoyed it. So I think if there’s the right thing, the right story to tell, and if I was the right person to tell the story, why the heck not?”

Kelsea Ballerini Plays a Waitress in New Pantene Campaign

The singer is already putting her acting chops to work again in the Pantene “Fixins for Country Fried Hair” campaign. In the ad, Ballerini plays a waitress in a retro diner that serves up Pantene’s restorative hair products.

In a July 2025 interview with People, the singer explained, “I wish ‘country fried hair’ was my idea. It’s brilliant! It’s so fun — it’s retro and a little cheeky. I get to wear this really cool diner outfit.”

The former “Voice” coach noted, “It’s great to be able to show that side of hair damage, that things that aren’t perfect don’t have to heavy … it can be fun and cheeky.”

Ballerini added, “And I think just having that narrative around everything that we’re heading towards is important to me.”
