Kelly Clarkson was forced to cancel the first two shows of her 2025 Las Vegas residency. The former coach on “The Voice” shared the reason for postponing her shows and explained when she’ll be back on stage again.
Kelly Clarkson Cancels Vegas Shows at the Last Minute
On July 4, Clarkson took to Instagram to announce that her first two Vegas shows are postponed.
“We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans,” she explained. “I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars.”
Clarkson continued, “The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for y’all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.”
The singer added, “The show is truly incredible. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong. I can’t wait to be back next weekend and show y’all what we’ve been working on.”

Just a few hours earlier, Clarkson shared photos from the rehearsal and noted, “TONIGHT!! #OpeningNight #StudioSessions #VegasRehearsals.”

Clarkson first announced her “Studio Sessions” residency in a February 2025 Instagram post.
“We are so excited. There are so many exciting things happening, actually, I cannot wait to share it all with you,” Clarkson said in the video. “But for now, we are finally ready to announce one very, very fun thing that we are stoked about for this summer.”
She continued, “We’re going back to Vegas! We’re very excited. That’s right, we have a new residency and we are bringing the studio to the stage. This time with Studio Sessions, which we are stoked about.”
The singer noted in the Instagram post’s caption: “VEGAS let’s do it again! 🎰🎶 Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions — The Las Vegas Residency is coming to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace this July!”
