John Legend & Chrissy Teigen’s 9-Year-Old Surprises Them With a Dinner Date

As parents, it’s always exciting when we notice that our kids are taking after us. Whether it’s little things, like wanting to wear matching outfits, or big things, like discovering a shared interest in music, it simultaneously makes us proud and feels flattered. Chrissy Teigen is feeling both of those things for her daughter, Luna.

John Legend’s wife took to Instagram to showcase her nine-year-old daughter, who made dinner for their date night. Not only has she picked up her mom’s cooking skills, but she also demonstrated that she has her parents’ kindness and generosity.

Luna Made John Legend & Chrissy Teigen a Three-Course Meal

Teigen posted multiple photos and videos showing Luna proudly and happily serving her and “The Voice” star. Dubbed the “Rainbow Cafe,” they each got a personalized menu designed by Luna. It lists a carrot, ranch, lettuce, and cucumber salad, Kraft macaroni and cheese, a fruit plate, and Branzino. Dessert is an ice cream cake made out of chocolate ice cream and yellow cake.

“Well, actually, the Rainbow Cafe is the reason why the fruit is in a rainbow,” Luna explains to her mom about the beautiful display of kiwi, blueberries, orange slices, mango, and strawberries. At the same time, she was busy lighting a candle for the table. Another photo showed Luna pouring water into glasses, while Teigen exclaimed that she loves the Rainbow Cafe.

Luna enlists the help of toddler Wren to carry out two small cream cakes for their parents. Then, both Teigen and Wren notice that there’s literally a rainbow on the patio floor next to their table.

The carousel also contained a sweet caption by the Cravings chef and author: “She is everything I ever was as a little girl but ten million times better.”

Chrissy Teigen Has a Special Bond With Luna

Luna is the oldest of Legend and Teigen’s kids, and big sister to Miles, 7, Esti, 2, and Wren, also 2. Teigen often posts adoringly about her firstborn daughter.

“Luna tuna appreciation post,” Teigen captioned a picture of Luna in January. “I love this photo 🥹 The most loving big sister our kids could ever imagine. So funny, so smart, so quick, so kind, so empathetic, so good at art, always open to learning any and all recipes. She is all the best parts of us in one little person.”

Previously, the mom of four told “People” that she worked hard to make sure Luna and Miles didn’t feel neglected or left out.

“For me, the hardest part is making sure the older ones feel loved and taken care of and just as special as the babies,” Teigen said. “There’s a lot of diaper changing and feeding and it seems like you’re coddling these two little babies and they’re not getting enough.”
