‘The Voice’ Coach Makes Big Announcement

“The Voice” Coach John Legend has made a big announcement.

“I’m so excited to announce that I’m heading back on the road for the Get Lifted 20th Anniversary Tour!” Legend wrote on his Instagram page on March 18, 2025.

“Join me and my band for an unforgettable performance of the entire Get Lifted album—the album that introduced me to the world—plus a few favorites from my career that *all of you* know and love,” Legend continued.

Legend lists the show dates and times on his website. The shows start in St. Lucia on May 11. He then will hold shows throughout Europe before returning to the United States in August, starting with a concert in Highland Park, Illinois. The tour concludes on December 9 in Oakland, California, after a series of show dates in states throughout the United States, according to Legend’s website.


John Legend Wrote That He Wants to ‘Celebrate 20 Amazing Years’ With Fans

Legend is currently serving as a coach in his 10th season on “The Voice.” He took a break from the show in the previous season.

In his Instagram post, Legend noted, “EU/UK – Sign up for my newsletter at johnlegend.com and check your inbox for artist pre-sale details before tickets drop this Friday, March 21st, at 10 AM (local time).”

He added, “North America – Pick your show date and sign up for pre-sale access at johnlegend.com before tickets go on sale to the public Friday, March 28th, at 10 AM (local time). Let’s celebrate 20 amazing years of Get Lifted together!”

Fans wrote on Legend’s Instagram page that they were pleased by his announcement.

“This album came out my sophomore year/junior year of college . So many memories can’t wait to sing ‘letssssssss get lifted!'” wrote one fan on his comment thread.

“Amen!!!!!!!! Greatest Album 🙏🏽🎶🎵” wrote another fan.

“Over the moon with excitement @johnlegend! Taking it back to where it all began! #GetLifted 20th Anniversary,” a fan wrote.

For many fans, the announcement evoked feelings of nostalgia. “Wow!! I was there that night at UPenn when you performed in front of students up close when the album first dropped. Had the pleasure of interviewing you for the school radio station. Congratulations on 20 years!” a fan noted.

“Was there in the beginning when it was just @johnlegend and a keyboard,” another explained.
