Gwen Stefani is a mother to three teenage sons, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale. But is she expecting her fourth child?
Rumors that Stefani is pregnant have persisted throughout her relationship with Blake Shelton. The couple met on “The Voice” in 2014 and started dating in 2015. In 2021, they were married at Shelton’s Tishomingo ranch. Their love story is beautiful, but it has also been subjected to much speculation, and it’s time to do some debunking!
Is Gwen Stefani Pregnant?
Throughout the years that Stefani and Shelton have been a couple, there have been reports about them wanting a baby. Us Weekly reports that, in 2017, an insider close to Shelton told them, “Right now they are hyper-focused on getting pregnant.” They continued, “They believe there is still a chance for Gwen. They are incredibly hopeful.” The rumors have continued to persist.
Despite the speculation that Stefani could be pregnant, all signs indicate that she is not. She is 55, and although not impossible, it is unlikely that she would carry her child, if that is what she and Shelton wanted. There have been reports about the couple finding a surrogate. “Gwen and Blake have been wanting a baby of their own for years now,” Life & Style reports that a source told them in April 2024. “They’ve had surrogates on board, but something always seems to fall through at the last minute. It’s been a struggle.”
For those expecting to see Stefani sporting a baby bump while she performs at the American Music Awards on May 26, this is again highly unlikely.
Do Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Want a Baby?
The “Rich Girl” singer has also stated that she felt mom guilt while working and raising her children, and fans know she is busy with her career now. In an interview with “The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast” via E! News, in February 2024, she reflected on how she left her two young children (before Apollo was born on February 28, 2014) and how awful it made her feel.
“I had Zuma and we just kept going in the studio and we ended up writing this record called ‘Push and Shove,’” Stefani told “The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast.” “And to leave the kids to go do that, I would feel so guilty and selfish. I would go there and, like, knock my head against the wall, and no song would come. And yet, I’m not with my kid, and I’m not good enough to write a … song.”
Shelton has no biological children but has taken on a stepdad role to Stefani’s kids. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in April 2024, he told the outlet that being a stepdad had changed his life “in every possible way.” He continued, “When people say it’s not about you anymore when you have a kid…I think if you’re doing it right, it’s not about you anymore. That’s true.”
