Gwen Stefani Teases Possible Album With Blake Shelton

“The Voice” coach Gwen Stefani was asked a big question recently about potential future projects. She did not hesitate to give an answer, but her response was something of a tease for her fans.

E! News asked Stefani if she would ever make an album with her husband, and former “The Voice” coach, Blake Shelton. Her answer suggests that she is not the one holding this possibility up. That said, she suggested there is hope that an album of music from the two together is a possibility.

Gwen Stefani Said She’s Patient & Will Wait

In a December 4 Instagram post shared by E! News, Stefani addressed the idea of creating an album with Shelton. She admitted she is all for it. In fact, she shared, “I beg him all the time.”

She added, “I am always trying to get him to write songs with me.”

Stefani noted, “We’ve written some amazing songs together,” but shared he’s “just very sparse” about his interest or willingness to actually do more.

Essentially, Stefani explained, Blake has to be in the mood to write songs with Stefani. If he’s not in exactly the right mood, it seems he’s just not into the idea.

Fans do not need to give up on the idea of it happening, though. Stefani declared, “So I’ll just wait.”

“Each [song] he does is incredible. So I’ll just wait. I’m patient,” Stefani added.

Fans Would Love to Get More Music From Shelton & Stefani Together

Luckily, it seems Stefani and Shelton’s fans are willing to be patient, too.

“Would love more from you [two] together,” one Instagram user noted.

“YES PLEASE DO IT,” added another fan.

“Gwen, I love all from you and Blake. The collab’s, and the solo’s. Then y’all duet some more, 🌟♥️❤️🌟❤️♥️🌟🌻” someone else wrote.

“Keep pushing Gwen! We’ll be waiting and patient too,” agreed a separate fan.

As Music Mayhem notes, Shelton and Stefani have collaborated on a handful of songs previously. They have released six duets and have also performed together in concerts.

The pair’s first duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” was released in May 2016. In February, “Purple Irises” came out, the pair’s latest duet together.

In April, Stefani talked to Rolling Stone about “Purple Irises” and her relationship with Shelton. “I feel like Blake and I are already a project together. I’m always going to want to write music with Blake Shelton,” she shared.
