On their weekly podcast, “Sorry We’re Cyrus,” Tish Cyrus and daughter Brandi talk with everyone from actors like Dylan Efron to reality stars like Harry Jowsey. Occasionally, the ladies also welcome their fellow family members, like Noah and Miley Cyrus.
Noah appeared on the show in April to talk about her new music and life growing up in the Cyrus household. Now it’s Miley’s turn to talk about her new “Something Beautiful” era, and the realization that she, Brandi, and Tish are “cougars.”
Miley Cyrus Jokes About Being Cougars With Mom & Sister: ‘It Says So Many Things’
“What does it say about the three of us that technically, we are all cougars?” Brandi asked Miley and Tish. They look at her in surprise, while Miley says that it says “so many things,” and Tish admits she’d never thought about it. Brandi, 38, and her boyfriend, Matt Southcombe, have a two-year age difference, while Tish, 58, and her husband, Dominic Purcell, have a three-year age difference.
“Am I the landslide?” the former “The Voice” coach asked, referring to the six-year age gap between her and Maxx Morando. “He’ll be 27 when I turn 33.” Miley’s birthday is November 23, 1992, while Morando’s is November 16, 1998.
“Which, I’m so excited for him to turn 27, cuz that was, again, such a great year for me. So I’m just hoping that, you know, as long as he follows in my footsteps, everything is going to be great.”
“That’s right when I started turning my life around,” she added.
“27 to me was a year that I really had to protect myself,” she told Apple Music’s New Music Daily. “That actually really made me want to get sober because we’ve lost so many icons at 27. It’s a very pivotal time.”
Miley Cyrus Just Shared the Significant Difference Between Her Boyfriend and Her

The most significant difference between them is their use of the internet. “He looks at life really differently than I do,” she said.
“He grew up with a laptop. I had a desktop computer that I shared with my brothers and sisters,” the “Flowers” singer continued. “Honestly, he’s raised our dog off Reddit. I’m like, ‘Are you sure we’re supposed to be doing this?’ And he’s like, ‘On Reddit it says blah, blah, blah.'”
She also thinks that his sign says a lot about him. “He’s a Scorpio [and] so is his grandfather, that’s what makes Maxx just so cool because he can sting,” she continued. “Like, very cool [and they] think that they’re little angels until it turns around and they got a sting.”
“I couldn’t be with someone [who] doesn’t sting,” she added. “They would have been toast already.”
