Blake Shelton’s List of BFFs Keep Growing & it Now Includes Fellow Country Singer Dustin Lynch

Former coach of “The Voice,” Blake Shelton, has made another best friend in the industry. “Blake and I really hit it off last year on tour. We’ve become hunting buddies. He’s had me out to his space in Oklahoma to hunt a little bit, which has been a lot of fun,” Dustin Lynch told Us Weekly on March 19.

Every year, members of the Grand Ole Opry gather for a hunt, and Lynch said he and Shelton are avid participants.

“It’s a 60-year-old tradition … it’s all about fellowship. Getting to sit around the fire and pass the guitar and talk about our years, what’s coming up, and to have [camaraderie] like that and a brotherhood like that is pretty cool,” he told the publication.

Lynch Opened for Shelton During the ‘Back to the Honky Tonk’ Tour

MusicRow announced in 2023 that Shelton was resuming the second half of his “Back to the Honky Tonk” tour the following February with Lynch as one of his opening acts.

“Back To The Honkytonk Tour with @blakeshelton is officially off the ground. Who’s coming to check it out?” Lynch posted on February 27, 2024.

In the Instagram carousel, the “Thinkin’ Bout You” singer shared pictures of himself standing in front of a microphone carrying a guitar and an aerial shot of the crowded arena.

In April of that year, Shelton gave Lynch a shout-out on Instagram after the tour ended, writing, “This was one hell of a tour y’all!!! Let’s hear it for the band and crew that worked so hard every day to help us give y’all the best show!!!! @dustinlynchmusic and @emilyann_music, it was a blast having y’all join the honky tonk!!! I love country music!!!!”

Lynch Is Gearing up to Headline His Own Concert

Lynch is set to be the main attraction at the Finger Lakes Country Music Festival on June 14, The 98.1 Hawk reported in January.

The festival takes place in Palmyra, New York at the Wayne County Fairgrounds and will start at 4:30 pm.

Country music has always been in Lynch’s blood, and in 2015 he told Glamour, “Garth Brooks and George Strait, and then you had Kenny Chesney come along and Tim McGraw — I remember those guys really being a big part of my growing up.”

He continued, “Watching Kenny play in Tennessee to a sold-out crowd was very life-changing for me. I remember having butterflies watching it and thinking, What would it be like to be the dude up there? I think that was a very inspiring moment for me.”
