Former “Voice” coach Ariana Grande and her boyfriend, Ethan Slater, have taken a big step in their relationship, just in time for the Christmas holiday.
A source told Page Six that the couple picked out their very first Christmas tree together.
“Ariana Grande and her boyfriend, Ethan, [were] buying a Christmas Tree from Yianni Karadimas’ Christmas tree stand on 62nd [and] Broadway,” the eyewitness said. “They are celebrating the success of ‘Wicked’ and keeping things low-key as they enjoy the holiday season together,” the source added.
Both Grande and Slater star in the movie adaptation of the Broadway show (and novel) “Wicked.” Grande portrays Galinda while Slater plays a character named Boq.
Meanwhile, another fan told People magazine that the couple was “walking arm in arm in Central Park, bundled up against the cold.”

Someone at the Christmas tree stand at the same time as the actors asked the couple for a quick pic. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the photo made its way to Instagram.
“I was on 61st and broadway and saw them looking for christmas trees! ♡ our stars aligned and im seriously so lucky,” the Instagram user responded to someone asking about the snap.
“They were both super sweet. I don’t remember much because I was so excited but they were really really nice as I just lovebombed them for about a minute,” she told someone else who had asked about the interaction.
The lucky fan called the chance meeting of the stars the “best day” of her life.

For the most part, Grande and Slater have kept a low profile throughout their relationship.
The two have been romantically linked since early 2023. They confirmed their relationship in July 2023. However, there has been some confusion surrounding the timeline of their relationship as they were both married to other people when they first started working together on “Wicked.”
While doing press for the film, however, they’ve gotten a bit more comfortable with sharing their love with the world. From their sweet red carpet moments to Slater gushing about his girlfriend, it seems clear that they’ve found something special together.
“She’s so funny. I mean, she’s amazing in this film,” Slater said on the November 4 episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”
Now, it seems as though Grande and Slater will be together for the holidays, celebrating their first Christmas as a couple; the two started working together sometime in December 2022.
