All of the 12 remaining contestants of “The Voice” season 27 performed live on Monday May 12, with the voting kicking off at the end of the episode. Today, viewers will find out which five singers will move on to the finals next week.
On Coach Adam Levine’s team are Kolby Cordell, Lucia Flores-Wiseman, and Conor James.
Kelsea Ballerini’s team is made up of Alanna Lynise, Iris Herrera, and Jaelen Johnston, while John Legend has Olivia Kuper Harris, Bryson Battle, and Renzo.
Finally, rounding out Team Michael Bublé are Jaydn Cree, Adam David, and Kaiya Hamilton.
Who’s Moving on to ‘The Voice’ Season 27 Finals
The first hour of the episode started off with a recap of the previous night’s performances, which included Kolby Cordell’s “Drink You Away” by Justin Timberlake and Alanna Lynise with “I’m Not That Girl” from “Wicked.”
Kicking off the night was John Legend singing his 2004 song, “So High.” Wearing a white striped suit, multiple Grammy winner sat at the piano while crooning his ballad.
The remaining 12 artists then gathered on stage, with Johnston saying, “Thank you guys for your support and I appreciate each and every one of you.”
Cordell made sure to thank his parents for helping him get to where he is now, and said, “It means everything.”
The first artist saved by “The Voice” votes was Renzo from Team Legend, who will be moving on to the Finals. Next, Carson Daly revealed Flores-Wiseman from Team Levine, who sang “Black Hole Sun” yesterday was safe.
The third singer advancing to the next round was Cree from Bublé’s team, while Daly announced that the fourth finalist was Johnston from Ballerini’s team.
After Ballerini performed “Baggage,” Daly shared that four contestants would sing for an Instant Save, while the other four would be sent home.
David from Team Buble was chosen first to fight for his place on the show, along with Kuper Harris from Team Legend.
Herrera from Team Ballerini was announced next, as well as Battle from Team Legend.
The Four ‘Voice’ Contestants Sing for Their Spot on the Finals
Kuper Harris went first with her rendition of “Rainbow” by Kacey Musgraves. “Every time you perform, you bring such artistry and musicality to everything you do,” her coach Legend told her.
David was up next with “Lose Control” by Teddy Swims, with his coach Bublé telling him, “No matter what happens here, dude, I’m so proud of you. You showed growth from a one-chair turn.”
Herrera wowed with her throaty rendition of Elton John’s “Rocket Man,” which her coach Ballerini said was one of her “most favorite performances on the show.” She begged fans, “Vote for Iris, please.”
Battle finished up the night with “Talking to the Moon” by Bruno Mars. “I feel like throughout this competition, you’ve given us performances that said you should be in the finale of this show,” Legend told him.
Who Received the Instant Save for Season 27
Viewers of “The Voice” had the chance to vote for their one Instant Save, and the fifth finalist to move on to the Finals of the season was David.
“Omg!!!! Congratulations! America got it right, and I’m thrilled you’re going to the finale!” a fan wrote on his Instagram page.
Next week, the final contestants will perform and fans will determine who is the winner of “The Voice” season 27.
