She might have her own cooking show, but Meghan Markle says she’s not the only chef in the family.
In episode five of her Netflix lifestyle show “With Love, Meghan,” the Duchess of Sussex gives a little insight into her husband, Prince Harry‘s cooking skills.
The episode features Meghan’s friend, “Alliance of Moms” co-founder Kelly McKee Zajfen.
When Meghan tells her friend that she wants her kids, Archie, 5 and Lilibet, 3, to “learn how to cook and have great formative memories of being there with me,” Zaifen points out that Prince Harry is also “a great cook.”
Meghan quickly agrees, adding “He is. He made great scrambled eggs the other morning. He makes a great breakfast.”
Breakfast Is an Important Meal for Harry and Meghan
Prince Harry may be great at breakfast, but he’s not the only one focused on the family’s first meal of the day.
Meghan told “People,” “I wake up every morning and take a lot of pride in making breakfast for my family…mornings are fast. Gotta get the kids to school.”
“I’m up before my kids are, so I’m normally up at 6:30, and then I get them up and dressed for the day, and we go downstairs. I love making breakfast for my family,” she explained, adding that their favorite is “surprise” pancakes.
“They don’t know what’s going to be on the other side when it flips over,” says Meghan, who picks from rainbow sprinkles, chocolate chips or blueberries she arranges in the shape of a smiley face.
Meghan Markle Offers Rare Glimpses of Family
Neither Prince Harry nor the couple’s children are featured prominently on her Netflix show, though the Duke of Sussex does make an occasional brief appearance.
But Meghan gave a rare glimpse of Archie and Lili in an Instagram post about baking cookies. The Duchess captioned the video, “When making thumbprint cookies at home becomes a family affair!”
In the video, Meghan is seen kissing Archie on the head. It also shows Lilibet standing on a stepstool, leaning on the kitchen island while her mom and friends bake cookies.
Prince Harry Has Larger Role in Season Finale
Prince Harry has a larger role in the season one finale of “With Love, Meghan,” when Meghan hosts a celebration brunch for friends and family.
“I love a brunch party. There’s just something really charming about it, and I think it’s a great way to connect,” Meghan says in episode eight. “Of course, my husband will be here, my mom will be here, my best friend since college, just my community, having a brunch in the sunshine with the people that I love, celebrating this next chapter of my life,” she adds.
Meghan and Harry share a quick kiss when he arrives at the brunch. At another point, Meghan cozies up to Harry and says, “Good, right?” referring to his drink. To which the prince replies, “Well done! You did a really great job. I love it.”
Meghan wraps up season one of “With Love, Meghan” with a toast. She says, “I just want to raise a glass to you guys. This feels like a new chapter that I’m so excited that I get to share when I’ve been able to learn from all of you. So just thank you for all the love and support. Thank you for loving me so much and celebrating with me. Cheers, guys.”
“To you!” Harry responds.
“To love,” Meghan says, adding “Can’t end on a better note than that.”
