Meghan Markle’s Podcast Shares ‘Confessions’ From Successful Business Women

Meghan Markle is ready to spill the tea in her new podcast.

The Duchess of Sussex is building on the success of her lifestyle show “With Love, Meghan.” Just days after that show debuted, it has already been renewed for a second season on Netflix.

Now she’s adding to her arsenal with a new podcast. The podcast is titled “Confessions of a Female Founder,” produced by Lemonada Media. In a post on Instagram, Markle writes, “I’ve been having candid conversations with amazing women who have turned dreams into realities, and scaled small ideas into massively successful businesses. They’re opening up, sharing their tips, tricks (and tumbles), and letting me pick their brains as I build out my own business. As ever, it has been absolutely eye-opening, inspiring…and fun! (Because what’s the point if we can’t have some fun on this wild adventure?)”

New Podcast Features Female Entrepreneurs

“Confessions of a Female Founder” will debut April 8 with an eight-episode season.

The podcast features Markle exploring her journey as an entrepreneur. She’s also getting insight from fellow female founders, including some of her famous friends. The names of those friends have not yet been released.

According to Lemonada media, the series “allows audiences to be a fly on the wall and hear the unfiltered stories behind the successes of notable female founders, while also sneaking a peek behind the curtain of Meghan’s own entrepreneurial journey launching As ever.”

In an Instagram post using the same image Meghan Markle used to announce the podcast, Lemonada writes, “As Meghan (@meghan) herself navigates the world of entrepreneurship with the upcoming launch of her brand As ever, be inspired by the real, unfiltered stories and lessons learned from notable female founders—from knowing your worth, to trusting your gut, securing investors, and investing in yourself.”

‘Confessions’ Is Meghan Markle’s 2nd Podcast

“Confessions of a Female Founder” is Meghan Markle’s second podcast series. She released “Archetypes,” in August 2022. The production was a result of an exclusive deal with music streaming platform “Spotify” that was reportedly worth $20-million.

That podcast featured conversations about the history of stereotypes leveled against women. It included celebrity guests like Serena Williams, Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton and Issa Rae. But after one season, that podcast was not renewed. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle subsequently agreed to part ways with “Spotify.”

Lemonada is now offering all 12 episodes of “Archetypes.” The Duchess says she hopes it will reach a larger audience this time around.

Lemonada Founders Say New Podcast Is What They Needed

Lemonada’s co-founder and CEO Jessica Cordova Kramer says Markle’s latest podcast would have been helpful when she and Lemonada partner Chief Creative Officer and co-founder, Stephanie Wittels Wachs set out to start their business. “As female founders ourselves, Steph and I are grateful to get a chance to build alongside Meghan the exact podcast we needed when we started Lemonada,” says Kramer.

“Meghan is such a warm and welcoming person, and you feel that in her interviews. She creates a comfortable space for her guests to bring fascinating personal stories to the table and open up in a way they likely haven’t before publicly. Listeners can expect conversations that are way more break room than boardroom,” adds Wittels Wachs.

“Confessions of a Female Founder” will drop a trailer on March 25. The podcast will debut its first episode April 8 with seven more episodes following once a week after that.
