Meghan Markle is excitedly promoting her latest labor of love, her Netflix show “With Love, Meghan,” by getting personal in a new in-depth interview with “PEOPLE” magazine.
The lifestyle program debuts on Netflix March 4. Making it to that finish line of the show actually airing has been full of what Markle calls “twists and turns.” “I appreciate everyone who gave me the grace to make mistakes and figure it out and also to be forgiving with myself through that. It’s a learning curve,” she told “PEOPLE.”
In a press release, Netflix describes the show as “blending practical how-to’s and candid conversation with friends, new and old. Meghan shares personal tips and tricks, embracing playfulness over perfection and highlights how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected. She and her guests roll up their sleeves in the kitchen, the garden, and beyond, and invite you to do the same.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Will Keep Royal Title
While Markle and husband Prince Harry stepped down from royal duties in 2020, Markle is shedding light on why the pair is choosing to hang onto their royal titles as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Markle says Queen Elizabeth bestowed the titles on the couple on their wedding day in 2018. But it wasn’t til they had children that she truly understood the significance. “It’s our shared name as a family, and I guess I hadn’t recognized how meaningful that would be to me until we had children,” she says in the “PEOPLE” interview. “I love that that is something that Archie, Lili, H and I all have together. It means a lot to me.”
Markle calls the Sussex name “part of our love story.”
“With Love, Meghan” Will Feature Markle’s Friends
The former “Suits” star will be joined on her Netflix show by some of her famous friends, including former co-star Abigail Spencer, Mindy Kaling, and Tatcha skin care line founder Vicky Tsai.
In the first episode, Meghan teams up with chef Roy Choi, “The Chef Show” star and creator of the gourmet Korean Mexican taco truck “Kogi.” In April, Choi will release “The Choi of Cooking: Flavor-Packed, Rule-Breaking Recipes for a Delicious Life: A Cookbook.” The pair reminisce about growing up in LA while they whip up Korean fried chicken.
How to Watch “With Love, Meghan”
“With Love, Meghan” debuts on Netflix March 4. The series will include eight episodes, each 33 minutes long. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, 40, produced the program via their Archewell Productions company. But don’t expect to see Prince Harry a lot in the series. While there is a glimpse of him walking out the back door with his wife in a sneak peek Meghan posted on her Instagram account, for the most part the prince stays behind the cameras.
