It was a red, white, and royal Fourth of July in Montecito. Meghan Markle, 43, gave fans a personal peek into how she and Prince Harry celebrated Independence Day with their two children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
Posting to her ‘As Ever’ Instagram account, the Duchess of Sussex shared a short, beautifully shot video of herself assembling a festive charcuterie board.
The board was layered with red, white, and blue fruits, cheeses, crackers, and her signature edible flowers.
The flowers were the centerpiece of her “easy entertaining” spread.

Wearing a relaxed blue-and-white striped shirt reminiscent of her 2018 Wimbledon look, Meghan styled the platter with blueberries, blackberries, watermelon, strawberries, and star-shaped cheeses.
The board was completed with bread, crackers, a dish of her own jam, and placed next to two drinks on an outdoor table.
Written across the video in delicate calligraphy: “Easy Entertaining. Happy 4th of July!” Meghan also added an American flag emoji in the caption.

This year, Meghan continued that tradition in another post, showing photos of those cupcakes, including versions decorated by their children. “Our second date was the 4th of July 2016 and H brought me cupcakes to celebrate. Now, all these years later, our two children are in on the tradition,” she captioned the image. “Happy Independence Day! May your day be as sweet as these cupcakes 🧁.”
Since launching As Ever, Meghan has begun sharing more glimpses into her life with Harry and their children, from holiday traditions to throwback memories.
