Rachael Kirkconnell’s sister Trinity has shed light on the breakup between Kirkconnell and former “Bachelor” Matt James.
However, her comments also increased the mystery.
“Yea so they were still together when he was posting all that… just to give some perspective on the timeline of things,” Trinity wrote on the comment thread of TikTok user Gabby White, who had posted a video about the breakup.
White questioned why James posted video clips showing the couple in London together the day before James’ statement, ruminating about whether it was sponsored content.
That post included a selection of videos showing the couple eating pizza together in London.
White also posted a TikTok responding to Trinity’s comment in which she sang an uplifting song.
Kirkconnell met James on his season of “The Bachelor,” and they have dated for four years, according to US Weekly. According to White, James posted about the couple’s split just three hours after it happened, US Weekly reported.
Matt James Announced the Split in an Instagram Post
James announced the break-up on Instagram on January 16. “Father God, give Rachael and I strength to mend our broken hearts. Give us a peace about this decision to end our relationship that transcends worldly understanding. Shower our friends and family with kindness and love to comfort us. And remind us that our Joy comes from you, Lord 💔” he wrote. He disabled comments to the post, but it earned more than 100,000 likes, including from former “Bachelor” Joey Graziadei.
The post took many fans by surprise.
The TikTok user posted a video asking questions about James’s post.
“Why would he use a picture from ‘The Bachelor’ when I feel like their whole relationship they tried to distance” from the franchise, she asked.
She also questioned the “tone of the caption” and added, “They are so media-trained; there is no way in no world would they not post a joint statement.”
Rachael Kirkconnell Has Remained Silent About the Split on Her Instagram Page

In fact, the most recent post is still a loving birthday tribute that she wrote to James in early December.
