Leslie Fhima Spills Tea on DWTS, Jordan Heller & ‘Golden Bachelor’

Former “Golden Bachelor” finalist Leslie Fhima is sharing details about “Golden Bachelor” Gerry Turner, “Golden Bachelorette” contestant Jordan Heller, and being “cut” from “Dancing With the Stars.”

“It was a nightmare coming home because I was heartbroken,” she revealed on the podcast about not being chosen by Turner. She described what it’s like to be recognized by fans, said she was disappointed to be cut by “Dancing With the Stars,” and addressed rumors that she was dating Heller, a contestant on Joan Vassos’s season of “The Golden Bachelorette.”

Fhima gave the “back story” of a picture of her with Heller. “I am the one who reached out to Jordan. I slid into his DMs. I was basically telling him I really enjoyed watching him on the show,” Fhima said on the podcast.

“I just basically reached out to him and we started texting each other via DM, via Instagram,” Fhima said. “We talked about the show. There aren’t a lot of people who understand exactly what he went through. I’m a year ahead of him, and he just got off.”

They were both in Los Angeles, and he asked her to see a soccer game. “It was really fun. We had a great time,” Fhima said. “I swear to God, it was just as innocent as that.” She said she wasn’t wasn’t considering it a date. “We’re just friends right now. Who knows what’s going to happen,” Fhima added.

Leslie Fhima Said Being on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Would Have Been a ‘Dream Come True’

Fhima said being on “Dancing With the Stars” would have been a “dream come true.” She said she was cut toward the end of August.

She turned down another opportunity and trained for the show, thinking she was going to be on it, she said, before being cut. She advised people to not assume they would have an opportunity until it was a sure thing.

Fhima jokingly confronted the podcast host for calling her a “Karen,” and he brought up calling her a “dance mom.”

She said she looked like a “mean dance mom Karen” in some photos.

“I saw an ad. I was watching the show,” she said, when asked how she first got on the show. “I had a group text with my kids and I sent them the link and I basically led them to water and they didn’t drink so I did it myself.”

Fhima said that contestant Faith Martin had never watched the show before. “Most of us were avid watchers and knew” how big of a deal it was, she said.

Martin said she didn’t watch television, and “she had not a clue what she was getting into at all,” said Fhima. “I knew because I had watching the show since the beginning pretty much.”

Fhima said she knew that “our phones were going to be taken away. I kind of knew what to expect a little bit.”

Fhima said she has great respect for Trista Sutter. She also said that sharing a bathroom with four people was a “little tough,” saying that she is “low maintenance.”

Leslie Fhima Discussed Whether She Would Have Moved to Indiana

Asked what she thought about possibly moving to Indiana if Gerry Turner had chosen her, Fhima commented that Turner lived on a lake and she loves lakes, so she was “thinking of going back and forth.” She said that “we talked actually about him coming to Minneapolis.”

Asked what Turner whispered to her, Fhima said she didn’t want to say. “He gave me a very big compliment,” she said.

“It was the hardest month of my life but probably one of the best,”‘ Fhima added on the podcast.

As for whether she might have been the “Golden Bachelorette,” she said, “Nobody asked me.” But she said she would have done it. She said she didn’t even have one conversation about it with producers.

Fhima said she was friends with “Golden Bachelor” winner Teresa Nist in the house. After Turner rejected Fhima, she said that Nist reached out to her “via text.” Fhima said she wasn’t angry at Nist, but she only wrote her one line back, although Nist “wrote me a really nice text.”

Nist then called her up and asked her to come to the wedding, and more time had passed, so Fhima was “fine by then.” She added, “Sometimes you just have to rise above it.”

She said she had “three dates in one year” and that the “Golden Bachelor” women don’t have boyfriends, but the men on the “Golden Bachelorette” do.
