Jason Tartick, season 14 contestant on “The Bachelorette,” welcomed a new dog into his home, and he opened up to US Weekly in a March 18 exclusive about how the pet is already transforming his world.
Jason Tartick Called Rescue Dog ‘Joy Of My Life’
In the exclusive US interview, Tartick called the adoption of his dog, Teddy, “the most rewarding thing in the world.”
Tartick said as soon as the remote meeting for his interview with the magazine concluded, he was immediately going to walk his furry new friend.
The reality star, who lives in Nashville, said he fell in love with the pooch while visiting an animal rescue in the area to look into volunteering. As soon as he met Teddy, he knew he wouldn’t be able to part with the animal. “I’m obsessed with him,” he explained.
Tartick wrapped up the conversation about the dog by telling US, “he saved me as much as I saved him.”

The week of March 13, Tartick shared a cute video on Instagram sharing slices of pizza with the pet.
While PetMD recommends dogs should never eat human food, the dog seemed to enjoy the treat.
One fan joked, “That poor pizza,” referencing the way the pie slid to the ground after the Zip-Loc ambassador and his pet dug in.
Another said, “I couldn’t be happier for a dog I never met and a human I never met lol.”
“He’s the cutest wingman ever,” wrote another commenter, adding a heart emoji.
Tartick Previously Vied For Becca Kufrin’s Heart
Tartick appeared on season 14 of “The Bachelorette,” finishing as the second runner-up.
The star of the season was Becca Kufrin, who ultimately chose Garrett Yrigoyen. The engaged pair split in 2020, two years after their engagement.
In a 2023 podcast interview, Yrigoyen said he will never get back together with his reality co-star ex. “When we broke up, there was no chance of that ever reconnecting,” he explained. “We just want what’s best for each other. At least, I want what’s best for her.”
Kufrin went on to appear on “The Bachelor In Paradise,” where she connected with her now-husband Thomas Jacobs. The couple welcomed a son in September 2023.
Yrigoyen is married to a yoga instructor named Alex.
Tartick appears to be enjoying the single life with his pets.
