Juliana Pasquarosa, who is vying for the affection of Grant Ellis on “The Bachelor” appeared February 27, 2025 on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast to reveal how she accidentally ended up on the show, and what her true feelings were during that dreamy one-on-date in Scotland.
Pasquarosa Revealed She Ended Up Competing On ‘The Bachelor’ By Accident
The Newton, Massachusetts native said before going on “The Bachelor,” her dating life was “very minimal.”
When podcast hosts Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt asked how she ended up on the show, Pasquarosa she revealed that her sister, a huge fan, secretly submitted her. Pasquarosa said she was stunned to be called one day by producers inviting her to enter the casting process.
When asked what it’s like seeing herself on a television screen, she replied that it can be “weird and cringey,” but she tries to “take everything with a grain of salt” and laugh off the awkwardness.
Discussing her dynamic with the other girls, Pasquarosa named Alli Jo Hinkes and Natalie Phillips as the closest friends she made, saying she was super surprised by Phillips’ week 4 elimination. She stated she saw Hinkes as her “safety net.”
Pasquarosa handles the tension in the mansion by avoiding comparing herself to the other girls. Instead, she said she tries to “really compartmentalize the girls,” adding that she prides herself on being “always able to listen when girls want to talk” about their time with Ellis.
The brunette beauty revealed her strategy is to take what the other girls say about Ellis and save it for “future use.”
Pasquarosa Opened Up About What She Was Thinking During Dream Date With Ellis
Getting to the real question on everyone’s mind, Pasquarosa spoke about her mindset on where she stands with Ellis.
The star said, “Well I remember one of me and Grant’s first conversations, I told him not to give me a one-on-one too early because I won’t open up.”
But after the pair left Madrid, she said she thought she had “messed up” and hurt her chance to get one at all.
Pasquarosa realized she now had only one more chance to score a one-on-one date before hometown visits, and wasn’t sure she’d even make it that far.
A host pointed out the move appears to have paid off in the long run, as Pasquarosa got a great chance to open up during her date with Ellis in Scotland, and now knew him better.
Pasquarosa described the fairy-tale date by saying, “This was one of the times where we just had fun during the day portion for sure.” She added that she got to know 31-year-old Ellis in the “little moments” of downtime waiting for production to switch up the scenes and settings.
She laughingly called their shared slow dance “so awkward” and admitted going into the scene was “nerve-racking.”
Pasquarosa said going into the date, she was still trying to figure out whether she liked the basketball player, but left feeling “sure about him as a person.” She went on to compliment him for being “a really well-rounded, compassionate, caring man” who fits the type of person she wants a future with.
