Catherine Giudici is enjoying some family time after they experienced something terrifying.
In a lengthy Instagram video on March 18, Lowe and his wife Catherine Giudici revealed that the rescue dog they had adopted a few months earlier had attacked him. In the video, Lowe explains what happened while Giudici had tears in her eyes.
But now that she knows Lowe is safe, Giudici took a moment on March 19 to post a sweet photo of Lowe with their daughter. In the photo Lowe’s arms can be seen covered in cuts.
“We love this man so much 🧡,” Giudici wrote on her Instagram
On season 17 of “The Bachelor,” Lowe proposed to Giudici in the finale, and she said yes. The couple married in 2014 in a live television wedding, and in 2016 they welcomed their first child, Samuel Thomas Lowe. In 2018, they welcomed their second son, Isaiah Hendrix Lowe, and then added a daughter, Mia Mejia Lowe, in 2019.
Sean Lowe Reveals He Was Attacked By His Family Dog
The incident occurred on Thursday, March 13, while Giudici was out with the couple’s three kids and Lowe was at home with some friends hosting a barbecue.
The smoke from the grill outside caused the smoke detectors in the house to go off. Lowe went inside and grabbed a dish rag in an attempt to get the smoke away from the detectors, but while he was doing that, the family’s boxer Moose got aggressive. He first nipped at Lowe’s finger, and then he went on to start biting at his feet and poking holes in his shoes. After that, Lowe revealed that Moose showed his teeth and fully attacked him.
He was eventually able to get the dog outside, but Moose came right back in and attacked him for a second time.
“I’m not trying to be dramatic, but I honestly felt like I was fighting for my life,” Lowe said in the video. “We’ve only had him for a little over three months, but he’s my dog. I walk him. If I run errands, he goes in the truck with me. If I get out of my chair, my kids don’t like it because he follows me and not them. Like it’s my dog. All he’s ever wanted was affection.”
Lowe got him outside for a second time, and his friends immediately shut the door. He knew right then that he had to go to the hospital, and his friends got him there quickly while calling Giudici to tell her what happened.

After he returned from the hospital, Lowe knew that Moose could no longer stay with them. He spoke with the local animal control who put him in touch with an officer who also had a boxer.
As this was happening, Lowe’s parents came to the house to pick up the kids. As he was helping them get into the car, Moose got out from the backyard and ran to the front where Lowe was.
“He made a beeline to me and just lunged and started attacking me again,” Lowe explained. “The kids did see Moose attack me but then a neighbor came out and quickly ushered them into their house so they didn’t see it.”
Lowe had to wrestle the dog to the ground and lay on top of him for 10 minutes until the police arrived. The father of three then had to go back to the emergency room.
At the end of the video, Lowe expressed gratitude for Giudici, who has been supporting him and helping take care of him. He also mentioned that he’s not mad at Moose because it’s clear the dog suffered trauma previously that caused him to do this.
