Cirie Fields, who made history as the “mom who got off the couch” to join the cast of “Survivor: Panama” in 2006, has cemented herself as one of the most talented strategists in reality television competition show history. Despite never winning “Survivor,” Fields was later able to find success on the first season of Peacock’s “The Traitors.” Now, the four-time “Survivor” player is making her fifth return to the jungle on the cast of “Survivor 50.”
Cirie Fields’ ‘Survivor’ Career, Summed Up
The cast of “Survivor 50,” which was announced on Wednesday, May 28, features a cast of all-returning players. Amongst its 24 castaways, the confirmed cast features Emmy Award-winning “The White Lotus” creator Mike White, fellow five-time player Ozzy Lusth, and former “Survivor” winners like Dee Valladares and Kyle Fraser.
Fields originally competed on Season 12, “Survivor: Panama” in 2006. Despite admittedly spending plenty of time on the couch watching TV, the mother and nurse stepped outside of her comfort zone to compete on “Survivor.” Despite this, however, Cirie quickly cemented herself as a social threat in the game, ultimately finishing the competition in 4th place.

Two years later, Fields was invited back to compete on “Survivor: Micronesia: Fans vs. Favorites.” Once again, she proved herself a force to be reckoned with, managing a 3rd place finish, but once again failing to clinch the title of ‘Sole Survivor.’
Fields returned to “Survivor” in 2010 for its 20th season, titled “Heroes vs. Villains.” The season marks Fields’ worst performance on the series to date, finishing in 17th place after she was voted out by J.T. Thomas.
Most recently, Fields appeared on “Survivor: Game Changers” in 2017. Once again, the competitor’s social prowess carried her into the endgame, where she was eventually eliminated due to a controversial technicality at Tribal Council that has since been referred to as “Advantageddon.”
“Survivor 50” will be Fields’ fifth appearance on the long-running series, tying the record previously only held by Robert ‘Boston Rob’ Mariano. Ozzy Lusth will similarly join the five-timers club with his appearance in the upcoming season.
Cirie Fields Took Home the Gold on ‘The Traitors’ Season 1
Despite never winning a season of “Survivor,” Fields was able to take home the grand prize on the first season of Peacock’s murder-mystery competition series “The Traitors.”
In the 2023 series, Cirie was ultimately able to secure a win worth $250,000 after she spent the season lying to her closest allies. In the end, Cirie revealed that she was a Traitor, pulling the rug out from under the feet of her fellow finalists, Andie Thurmond and Quentin Jiles.

Fields remains the first and only Traitor to ever win the game, with Seasons 2 and 3 having been won by Faithfuls.
Since Fields, plenty of other “Survivor” alumni have joined the cast of “The Traitors” including Jeremy Collins, Rob Mariano, Tony Vlachos, Carolyn Wiger and Parvati Shallow.
