‘Survivor 50’ Rumored Cast & Where to Watch the Official Cast Announcement

Shortly after airing the finale of “Survivor 48” on May 21, in which castaway Kyle Fraser was named season’s winner, CBS immediately began teasing fans with the upcoming landmark season “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.”

Earlier in Season 48, host Jeff Probst revealed that “Survivor” fans across the country would be able to vote on game-changing aspects of the game, directly influencing the anniversary season. Probst added that the cast of “Survivor 50” would be entirely composed of former castaways.

But with 18 to 20 slots to fill, and hundreds of “Survivor” alumni to choose from, who will be jetting off to Fiji for another shot at the $1,000,000 prize?

Who’s Rumored to be on ‘Survivor 50’?

CBS announced that it would be revealing the “Survivor 50” cast live on the air of “CBS Mornings” on Wednesday, May 28. In a post teasing the upcoming cast announcement, the long-running series posted the question to the fans: “Who do you think will be on Season 50 of ‘Survivor?”

Fans sounded off in the comments, with some calling for the return of fan-favorites like Kelly Wentworth, Malcolm Freberg, and Rupert Boneham. Meanwhile, others called for former winners to come back, including the likes of Parvati Shallow and “Boston Rob” Mariano, both of whom appeared on “Survivor 40: Winners at War” in 2020 and on Season 4 of “The Traitors” in 2024.

When it comes to casting rumors online, Reddit sleuths have assembled a list of the former castaways they think are most likely to be announced for the cast of “Survivor 50.”

The list includes Alicia Calaway, Colby Donaldson, Cirie Fields, Stephanie LaGrossa, Ozzy Lusth, Amanda Kimmel, Chrissy Hofbeck, Angelina Keeley, Christian Hubibki, Maryanne Oketch, Q Burdette, and “Survivor 47” castaway Genevieve Mushaluk, though it remains incomplete and subject to change until the official CBS “Survivor 50” cast announcement on Wednesday.

Notably missing from the list are “Survivor: Cagayan” star Spencer Bedsloe, “Survivor: Millenials vs. Gen X” castaway Jessica “Figgy” Figuero, and “Survivor 44” finalist Carolyn Wiger. While fans assumed the trio were shoe-ins for the landmark season, all have since confirmed on social media that they were ‘cut’ from CBS consideration.

Where to Watch the Official ‘Survivor 50’ Cast Announcement

Jeff Probst confirmed during the Season 48 finale on May 21 that the cast of “Survivor 50” would be revealed one week later, a fact that was later confirmed on the show’s social media pages, which told fans that the cast announcement was scheduled for Wednesday, May 28.

It was later revealed that the cast announcement was coming as a segment on “CBS Mornings.” The upcoming segment is scheduled to begin at 8:00am ET. While fans can also stream episodes of “CBS Mornings” on Paramount+, the official cast is sure to be shared on “Survivor”s Instagram and TikTok pages.
