Spoilers Fly as ‘Survivor 50’ Castaways Land in LAX After Filming

In a video posted on June 30, longtime “Survivor” host Jeff Probst confirmed that filming for “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans” had wrapped. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait until the season’s CBS debut in February 2026 – nearly seven months from the end of filming – to find out what happened on the island. 

Until then, only the legendary cast, Probst himself, and the “Survivor” crew will know the answers to burning questions like: Who was the first castaway booted off the island? Who made it to the Merge? And who secured a spot at Final Tribal Council? But that hasn’t stopped diehard fans from speculating. Rumors especially started flying after the season’s players returned to the United States after filming the 26-day season in Fiji. 

Be warned! The remainder of this article will unpack fan speculation about which castaways potentially made it to the Merge and/or the jury. However, the information below is purely speculation, and not a confirmed “spoiler” from an inside source or contestants post-filming. 

Fans Think These ‘Survivor 50’ Castaways Were Eliminated Pre-Merge

Several “Survivor 50” cast members were spotted returning to LAX airport on July 2, following the completion of filming, with eagle-eyed fans snapping photos of players like Cirie Fields, Stephenie LaGrossa, Ozzy Lusth, Dee Valladares and more as they de-boarded their flights. 

According to Reddit users present in LAX as the largest-ever “Survivor” cast returned from filming, the castaways arrived on two separate flights – one for the players eliminated ahead of the Merge, and one for the members of the jury and finalists. 

Following their return, Reddit user SU, who previously predicted the cast of “Survivor 50,” barring the surprise addition of two players from “Survivor 49,” speculated that these 10 contestants were eliminated before the Merge:

• Charlie Davis (“Survivor 46”)
• Genevieve Mushaluk (“Survivor 47”)
• Jenna Lewis-Dougherty (“Survivor: Borneo” & “All-Stars”)
• Kyle Fraser (“Survivor 48” winner)
• Q Burdette (“Survivor 46”)
• Mike White (“Survivor: David vs. Goliath”)
• Savannah Louie (“Survivor 49”)
• Colby Donaldson (“Survivor: The Australian Outback”, “All-Stars” & “Heroes vs Villains”)
• Angelina Keeley (“Survivor: David vs. Goliath”)
• Kamilla Karthigesu (“Survivor 48”)

The list includes big names, like “The White Lotus” creator Mike White and former “Survivor” winner Kyle Fraser, as well as major threats like “Survivor 46” finalist Charlie Davis and four-time player Colby Donaldson.

Not all of these contestants were seen returning to LAX on July 2, furthering existing speculation that at least two male contestants returned to the U.S. before filming wrapped.

The remaining 14 castaways allegedly returned on a separate flight, leading fans to speculate that they comprised the “Survivor 50” jury and finalists.

Only 11 of the 14 contestants listed above were actually spotted de-boarding the second flight. Namely, Chrissy remained unnoticed at LAX. The Season 35 star took to X/Twitter afterwards to write: “Apparently my superpower is invisibility in airports.”
