Julie Berry competed on the show’s ninth season titled “Survivor: Vanuatu,” and after filming wrapped, she dated the series host, People initially reported in 2004. Berry was born on December 15, 1980, in Maine, according to her IMDB page. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Community Development from East Carolina University in North Carolina.
Best known for competing on “Survivor” season 9 and finishing in fifth place, Berry also has experience behind the scenes in television production, according to her LinkedIn page. In fact, Berry served as a digital executive producer on season 3 of “The Traitors.” She has also worked on “Love Island: USA” and “Dancing With the Stars.”

When People interviewed Probst in 2004, he had much to say about his new love.
“Nobody is more surprised than me that I could find my love affair on a show that I host,” he told the publication. “The truth is when something like this gets dropped in your lap, you don’t look at how it’s wrapped, you don’t look at how it’s being delivered. You just put your arms around it and you hold on because this is my love affair and there’s no question in my mind about it.”
GettyProbst also clarified the timeline for when the pair started dating. “The funny thing was there was this perception we were flirting on the show,” he said, “and that was actually just fun stuff on the show. I didn’t really talk to Julie until long after the show was over.”
Although, at the time, he declared, “I’m in love, I’m with her. . . and there ain’t no turning back,” the pair ended up going their separate ways in 2008.

On her Instagram page, Berry regularly chronicles her family life in Maine and her travels. Berry and her partner, Joseph Young, share a daughter, Lily, who was born in February 2022.
“Looks like daddy, but a ham like mommy. These smiles are making me feel things like never before ya’ll,” Berry wrote of her daughter in April 2022. In June of that year, she shared a touching tribute to Young: “One thing that stands out to me as I witness you grow into this new role as Dada is how well you take care of me, so I can be the best momma to our little Lily. Thank you for your love, support and laughs Dada. Lily lights up with her gummy smile every time you come home from work… we love you so much and appreciate all you do for our family.”
In March 2023, Berry chronicled the first big trip the new family of three took together. “We took Lily on her first plane for her first birthday,” Berry wrote in an Instagram caption. “We flew to my heart land to be with some of my dearest friends (not all pictured or seen this go around) and she LOVED it all; our breezy Aquarius sun! Tons of hikes, sun, erewhon runs, breakfast burritos, hugs, laughs, molars, music and new experiences for our Lily girl! Happy (late but lived) Birthday Lily Bear, you are all the magic and more – I love you through all the dimensions and lifetimes.”
In March of this year, Berry shared a sweet video of her daughter calling her mom her “best friend.”
