The biggest night in sports is almost here. The 2025 ESPY Awards will broadcast live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday, July 16, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
Sports fans based in the United States can catch the ceremony on ABC, or stream it live through ESPN+.
Where to Stream the 2025 ESPY Awards
You don’t need a traditional cable subscription to tune into this year’s ESPYS. Several live TV streaming platforms carry ABC and offer free trials for new users:

Can’t watch live? The full ceremony will be available to stream on demand starting Thursday, July 17, via Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+.
Performers, Highlights, & Additional Info
Netflix star and comedian Shane Gillis is will host this year’s ESPY Awards.
In a statement shared when he was announced as host, Gillis kept it short and spirited: “I’m excited to be at The ESPYS this year,” he said in June. “I like sports so this should be a good time.”
“Shane is not only one of the top comedians today, but also a huge sports fan, which made him an easy choice to host The ESPYS,” added Craig Lazarus, ESPN vice president and ESPYS executive producer.
The 2025 ESPY Awards will celebrate some of the biggest names in sports, including Josh Allen, Caitlin Clark, Coco Gauff, Shohei Ohtani, A’ja Wilson, Simone Biles, Saquon Barkley and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Special honors will also be presented throughout the night. Basketball Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson will receive the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage, while Penn State women’s volleyball head coach Katie Schumacher-Cawley will be honored with the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance. The Pat Tillman Award for Service will go to Greater Los Angeles first responders and former athletes David Walters and Erin Regan.
Diana Taurasi and Alex Morgan are set to receive the prestigious Icon Award, and this year’s show will also spotlight honorees from the Sports Humanitarian Awards.
For live entertainment, viewers can look forward to performances by Busta Rhymes, Clipse, Tobe Nwigwe, and LiAngelo Ball, who now performs under the name GELO.
