Who Is Performing at the 2025 ESPYS

The ESPYS (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards) usually bring a few surprise moments, but this year’s performer lineup might be the boldest flex yet. The show’s leaning full-throttle into hip-hop, bridging generations, genres, and even sports legacies in one night. If you’re tuning in for the awards, great; but don’t sleep on the music. This roster? It’s built to leave a mark.

And no, we’re not just manifesting here: Billboard officially confirmed the lineup, so go ahead and get hyped without fear of a fake-out.

Hip-Hop Takes The Spotlight

Busta Rhymes is set to bring his signature fire to the stage. The Grammy-nominated rap icon hasn’t slowed down since “Dragon Season” and remains one of the most dynamic live acts in the game. His presence alone adds weight… but he’s not the only hip-hop heavyweight in the building.

Also performing tonight: Clipse, the duo of real-life brothers Pusha T and Malice. It’s their first ESPYS appearance together since dropping “Let God Sort Em Out,” their first studio album in nearly 16 years. Expect razor-sharp bars and maybe a little nostalgia; this is one reunion we’re very here for.

Joining the mix is LiAngelo Ball, a.k.a. GELO. Yep, the former UCLA baller and younger brother to Lonzo and LaMelo is making waves on the mic now. After “Tweaker” climbed to No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 (with a Lil Wayne remix, no less), GELO’s debut album “League of My Own” drops this week. But first? A live ESPYS debut that’s sure to turn heads.

Finally, Tobe Nwigwe will handle this year’s emotional centerpiece: the “In Memoriam” segment. He’ll be joined by David Michael Wyatt in a tribute expected to honor late sports legends like Diogo Jota, George Foreman, and Bob Uecker. Tobe’s known for making every performance count… this one’s likely to hit deep.

A Night That Blends Sports, Legacy, And Culture

Hosted by comedian and podcaster Shane Gillis, this year’s show isn’t just about trophies… it’s about moments. Whether it’s Clipse bringing back their signature sound or GELO proving he’s more than just a basketball bro, each performance adds a different layer to the night.

And if the ESPYS’ past musical moments are any indication (Serena Williams hosted last year, with Ciara opening the show), tonight is built for impact.

Catch the 2025 ESPYS live from the Dolby Theatre in L.A. at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on ABC. Streaming’s available on ESPN+, with next-day on-demand access on Disney+ and Hulu.
