‘The Young & the Restless’ Spoilers: Adam Smells Something Fishy

Back in Genoa City, Adam uncovers unsettling information about Aristotle Dumas, who turns out to be Cane Ashby. “The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday reveal Adam did some digging and found out that Dumas has been making big moves in town.
Adam tells Chelsea that a company called Arabesque has been quietly snapping up real estate in downtown Genoa City, including condos in their neighborhood. The kicker? It’s owned by Dumas.
Adam notes that Victor isn’t picking up his call. He wants to get a hold of his dad to inform him about his discovery.
Chelsea guesses there’s no cell service at the chateau, but Adam thinks Dumas intentionally did this because he doesn’t want them to know what he’s up to while they’re away.
Chelsea points out that Dumas seems to buy properties surrounding the big guns in town: Newmans, Abbotts, and Winters. Adam agrees, adding that “surrounding is something you do to an enemy, before you go in for the kill.”
Cane Rejects Phyllis
In France, Amanda asks Cane how his chat with Victor went. “The Young and the Restless” spoilers say Cane’s disappointed that The Mustache wasn’t exactly receptive to his offer.
Cane is hell-bent on acquiring Chancellor no matter the cost and Victor underestimating him only fuels his fire even more.
Phyllis appears and chimes in the conversation. She tells Cane she’d never underestimate him. Amanda asks why she’s eavesdropping.
The redhead asks Cane to talk privately. He gives her ten minutes to make her pitch.
Phyllis pulls out all the stops to butter him up, noting that the power dynamic has now shifted. “I’m offering my expertise so you have help navigating through the land mines, so you can reintegrate into Genoa City,” she offers.
Phyllis Undermines Amanda

But Cane shuts Phyllis down, reminding her that he already has Amanda for that. Phyllis is not taking no for an answer. A panicked Phyllis tries to undermine Amanda. She insists the lawyer is good for his legal issues, but everything else she can do better.
Phyllis suggests he makes her his executive, tempting him with intel that could help him get Chancellor.
“Maybe there is a place for you in my organization,” Cane replies and leaves.
Later, Phyllis thanks Amanda, but the lawyer’s not having it. “What the hell is wrong with you?” the irked lawyer asks.
Phyllis insists she’s just trying to land a job, but Amanda thinks otherwise. “By undermining mine?” she asks her. “Do you ever think about anyone, other than yourself?”
