“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for the week of July 28 to August 1 reveal that things take a dark turn when Carter (Vincent Stalba) loses it.
Preview for next week shows Carter whips out a gun and grabs Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) orders him to drop the weapon.
“Carter! Don’t do this! You’re going to make it worse for yourself, Carter,” Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) pleads.
“How could I make it worse? It was all for you and now you wanna lock me up. I’ll find my way out of here!” Carter fires back.
Later, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) informs Cane that she called the cops. He says it was the right move given how dark things had become.
“You made the right decision. The authorities needed to be brought in. Are they still here?” Cane asks his lawyer.
“They are just wrapping up. The bodies will be taken to the coroner’s office but the case is pretty much closed, so you’re in the clear,” Amanda responds.
“Am I?” Cane asks.
Meanwhile, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) holds a wounded Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) as he recovers. Suddenly, his phone receives a notification.
“Is that your phone?” Sharon asks.
“How is that possible? We all have service,” adds Sally.
“Why now?” Sharon wonders.
“Because I have a feeling Cane Ashby knows he has lost. We can get the hell out of here now,” Victor declares.
Back at the office, an angry Cane trashes his desk.
