Mishael Morgan Teases Amanda’s Mysterious Client, Drama With Abby on ‘Y&R’

Mishael Morgan is reprising her role as Amanda Sinclair on “The Young and the Restless.” The legal powerhouse is set to return to Genoa City on May 16, over a year since her last appearance on the show.

Morgan, who chose to go off contract in 2022, shared with TV Insider on May 8, 2025, that she’s grateful the long-running soap continues to find reasons to bring Amanda back, even if just for a short stint. She also expressed appreciation for her “Y&R” family, noting that they recognize her value and are “willing to find ways to keep [Amanda] alive in the story.”

Morgan Hints at Mysterious New Client on ‘The Young & the Restless’

Amanda’s return this month has fans buzzing about a possible legal showdown on “The Young and the Restless.” And it seems Morgan is more than ready to bring the drama.

In the same interview, the award-winning actress teased that Amanda returns with a new, mysterious client, and he’s a major power player.

Well, she’s always representing somebody, and she represents high-powered people in society. So, Amanda’s coming back to represent somebody very mysterious, definitely high-powered, and she’s going to make some waves while she’s there.

Morgan also admitted that she’s aware of the rumor mill about Amanda being connected to the infamous Aristotle Dumas. The actress shared that a fan told her some theories about Amanda and Dumas’ possible connection.

They had a lot of different theories as to why Amanda would be coming back and who she would be representing. And it was funny to watch. So, we’ll see.

Amanda & Abby Pick Up Where They Left Off

Morgan also revealed that she will have some scenes with her on-screen rival, Melissa Ordway. “The Young and the Restless” actress teased that Amanda will be stirring up trouble for Abby Newman while she’s in town.

Amanda thinks, ‘I might as well bump into Abby and make her uncomfortable.’ She does her rounds a little bit.

Longtime fans of the soap know Amanda and Abby share a tense history. Their feud stems from Abby’s affair with Amanda’s then-boyfriend, Devon Hamilton. Amanda caught the two red-handed when she walked in on them in an intimate moment.

Aside from Ordway, Morgan will have scenes with her “The Young and the Restless” co-stars, including, Christel Khalil (Lily Winters), Bryton James (Devon Hamilton), Sean Dominic (Nate Hastings), and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers).
