‘General Hospital’ Recap for June 27: Daisy’s Christening Cliffhanger

Family was front and center today in Port Charles. The Corinthos, Spencer, Scorpio, and Quartermaine families have all come together for baby Daisy’s christening. Portia and Curtis look like their love isn’t totally lost, and then there is Natalia, completely spiraling.

Portia Demands Answers From Curtis

ABC

Portia storms into her husband’s office and demands a conversation. All they seem to talk about anymore is their problems with Drew or their daughter, Trina. Now, Portia wants a solid answer on the state of their marriage. She tells Curtis that she lives in fear of failing him and his ridiculously high standards, and also his hypocrisy. When he keeps a secret, it is to protect the family, but if she does the same, he views her as a liar.

Curtis admits that he isn’t sure if they can ever be okay, and Portia bursts into tears. She begs him to tell her how to fix it and eventually they end up locked in a passionate kiss, proving that there is still a lot left between them. As they kiss, Jordan walks in.

Natalia and Sonny Both Tie Up Loose Ends

ABC

Natalia stops by to talk to Brook Lynn about Deception. She warns her that the business is in trouble because one transfer to the company was made with dirty cash. She explains that Sonny had no idea about it, that it was made by his financial team. Natalia wants BLQ to know about it so that she can try to fix it. She wants to help people fix their lives now since hers is such a mess. Brook Lynn tells her that it is never too late to repair her relationship with her kids, but Natalia disagrees and says that her time in Port Charles has come to an end.

Meanwhile, ADA Turner stops by to see Sonny, asking about a box that she received. It has a new baseball glove in it, and Turner assumes Sonny sent it after they played ball against each other. She reminds him that gifts look like a bribe, and Sonny insists that he didn’t send her the glove. As they speak, Kristina walks in and thanks the ADA for all of her past help. After Turner leaves, Sonny says she is too close for comfort. He then makes a call and says that the plan for Natalia has changed.

Natalia is in her room drinking and looking at pictures of Belize when Sonny’s guy, Paul, knocks on her door. He tells her that her flight has been bumped up and that they are now leaving immediately. She asks where Sonny is because she believes he was going with her. Paul tells her that Sonny was never leaving Port Charles, and he is at Daisy’s christening now. Natalia asks for an hour to pack and shuts the door. She starts to lose it, realizing that she is all alone in the world. She grabs her purse and leaves before Paul returns.

Daisy’s Special Day Starts With a Big Problem

ABC

The day is supposed to be all about Daisy, and everyone is meeting at the church for her christening. Many conversations take place beforehand. Josslyn finally catches up with Michael. He explains that she wasn’t asked to be the godmother because it was left up to Sasha, who instead chose Felicia. Joss understands completely and promises to watch over Daisy anyway. She thanks Michael for always being there for her when she was growing up, and she will always be there for his kids. He fills her in on the latest with Willow marrying Drew, and they make plans to talk more soon.

Felicia stops at the Qs to see Sasha before heading to the church. Sasha is so excited about her daughter’s big day and is full of love. Felicia asks why she let people think that Jason was the father instead of Michael. Sasha explains that Michael was going through much and she didn’t want her baby connected to any of it. Felicia understands that even in utero, Sasha was protecting her child.

Cody then arrives carrying a huge stuffed elephant, and the card says that it is from Holly and Robert, Sasha’s parents. She and Cody then have a real chat. She tells him about the weird things that have been happening with Daisy. Cody tries to minimize her fear and praise her parenting skills.

Carly and Jason arrive at the church together and talk about how he is the perfect godfather for Daisy. He protected Sasha while Michael was away, and it makes sense that he would be asked to step up. They then reminisce about how Jason took care of Michael so much when he was a baby, and how Carly always knew that she could count on him. Sonny arrives and pulls Jason aside to tell him about the ADA’s pop-up visit. He says that he wants Natalia on an earlier flight to Belize because he is worried that Turner will have her picked up sooner than planned.

As everyone gets ready for the christening to begin, a furious Natalia walks into the church looking like she is on a mission.
