It’s already been quite a summer in Port Charles. A custody battle between Michael and Willow, Natalia’s death, Gio’s big reveal, and then there is that mob war between Sonny that is just getting started. Now comes the twist that no one likely had on their bingo card: not only is Britt (or her lookalike) headed back to “General Hospital,” but so is her mother, Dr. Liesl Obrecht!
Rocco Left Reeling After Learning That Britt Is His Birthmother
ABCThis unexpected twist occurred because Rocco recently discovered a file containing multiple copies of his birth certificates. He did some reading and realized that it was Britt Westbourne who had given birth to him, not Lulu. He went to talk to his mother, who then called Dante. The three of them then had a conversation about Rocco’s birth. They told him how Britt had stolen one of their embryos and had it implanted. It took Lulu and Dante about eight months to realize that they had an embryo missing, and to track down Rocco, who was then renamed and raised by them.
Rocco has been left to feel unwanted by Dante and Lulu, thinking that if Britt hadn’t stolen the embryo then he never would have existed. They have tried to tell him otherwise, but the fallout has been heavy.

On last Friday’s episode of GH, fans saw Rocco emailing Britt’s mother, Liesl, obviously needing to make a connection. The crazy doctor has been off-camera for nearly two years, and Kathleen Gati recently expressed her joy to Soap Opera Digest about her return.
“The love and loyalty expressed to me over this past year-and-a-half that I have not been on General Hospital has been overwhelming,” she says. “The fans have been faithful, loyal, begging me to return, continuously asking when, oh when will I return. I am truly grateful and so happy that I can bring some story and entertainment back to them again through Obrecht! It means a lot to me. This is why I became an actor, to entertain people through story and characters.”
Is Britt Actually Alive?
GettyRocco’s birthmother is believed to have died, but her portrayer, Kelly Thiebaud, has confirmed that she is returning to the soap, so fans have questions. Is Britt alive? Will Rocco be able to learn from her about those first few months of his life, or will he need Liesel for that? Or does Britt have a twin or a lookalike?
