‘General Hospital’ Recap for July 21: Who Fired Who?

Do Jack and Carly Have a Future Together?

It has been a minute since Carly and Jack had quality time together, so he rented out the Metro Court pool for the evening. As he walks into the pool area, Carly is happy to see him, but tells him they have to leave because a party is on the way. Once he tells her that he is the party, they sit at the edge of the pool with champagne.

They’ve missed each other, and Carly brings Jack up to speed on everything that has gone on, including Sasha and Daisy leaving Port Charles. Jack can’t share his WSB job details with her, but tells Carly that being with her somehow makes everything better. He wants to make her life better and insists that she ask for help when she needs it. Carly needs Jack to know that, whether he can help her or not, just being with him is enough.

The two discuss their relationship and where things seem to be headed. They both agree that they see a real future for themselves.

Dante Realizes That Brennan Recruited His Sister Into the WSB

Dante had Vaughn under surveillance and is now reporting back to Anna. He tells her all about Josslyn, clearly working with Vaughn, who has put a tracking device on their mark at the airport. The conversation then turns to Joss and how Anna believes that Jack Brennan recruited her. Anna reminds Dante that she was even younger than Joss when she was first recruited, and Joss is a prefect candidate.

Anna thinks that Brennan has an eye for talent and realized that Josslyn’s anger at Cyrus made her a viable candidate. Brennan was able to test her to see how far she was willing to go to avenge Dex’s death, and when she passed, she was sent off to Easter Island for some quick training. Professor Dalton is the mark, so Brennan needs someone at PCU who is already known and can blend in, someone like Joss.

Dante wonders how Carly will react when she learns that her boyfriend turned her daughter into a spy, and Anna agrees there will be hell to pay. She also believes that they can’t tell Carly right now because doing so may put Joss in more danger. Whatever is going on with Dalton, Anna thinks it has to do with more than testing animals in his lab. Port Charles might be in danger if the WSB is involved.

Meanwhile, Joss and Vaughan go looking for Brennan, but his office is empty. She jokes about him likely being on a date with her mother, and Vaughn tries to shut down her aggravation. He reminds her that if she is hiding her WSB life, then her resentment for Jack can’t exist. Vaughn insists that they have the best boss and that he isn’t the kind of guy to go up against. As they talk, Vaughn receives a call informing him that the courier they are tracking has made a stop in Croatia.

Jason Remembers Life With Britt

ABC

Jason thinks he sees Britt boarding a flight to Croatia, and does everything in his power to get to her. He tries to get through the gate, even offering to buy a plane ticket, but it’s too late. Once he boards his flight back to New York, Jason starts flashing through various memories of his time with Britt.

GH then gives us a flash of Britt landing in Croatia and being welcomed back by a gentleman.

Back in Port Charles, Brook Lynn and Lucy have joined Flora for a new Home & Heart segment to promote Deception’s latest products. BLQ worries because she knows the fans love watching her mother, Lois, pitch the products, and she’s not there. As the cameras roll, Lucy acknowledges Lois and Brook Lynn cuts her off to focus on the products. Once again, Lucy mentions Lois and says that she is actually in the building.

Lois walks out, leaving BLQ to feel ambushed. Lois realizes it and whispers in her daughter’s ear that Lucy told her she knew. The mother and daughter pull it together and get through the segment. Flora feels bad about ambushing Brook Lynn until she sees that the new products have just sold out. After the segment, Lucy apologizes but says that she did what was necessary for the business. Brook Lynn tells her that it will never happen again, and then she turns toward Lois and says that she is fired!
