‘General Hospital’ Recap for July 17: A Shocking Return

Sasha reaches her destination and is greeted by a familiar face on the newest episode of “General Hospital.” Also, Joss is on the job, Sonny and Nina bond, and Rocco meets his grandmother.

Felicia and Anna Put Their Heads Together

Anna Devane’s spy senses are tingling when it comes to Vaughn. She has concluded, after running a background check that came back clean, that he must be working for the WSB. Either he is with them as an agent, or else they have him under surveillance. She believes that he is somehow connected to Professor Dalton and is extremely frustrated at not being able to find any more information.

Anna invites Felicia over, who strongly encourages her to walk away from the situation. She is putting herself in danger without a safety net. After the two talk, Anna then calls Dante and tells him that she has a job for him that’s connected to the WSB. He is ready to listen.

Dante just came from having coffee with Lulu, who once again went off about Brook Lynn. Dante is tired of her constantly blaming BLQ for the issues that they now have with both Gio and Rocco. He tells her that grudges and blame won’t fix anything with the family. He considers both women part of his family, and since he has a child with each of them, they are all forever linked.

Joss Is Spying While Working For Dalton

Joss texts Vaughn from the Metro Court pool and tells him to come quickly because something is about to happen. She is working for Professor Dalton, but also watching him interact visually with a strange woman. Joss tells Danny that the woman is a big tipper, just to get him to run interference. Danny offers her extra towels, a drink, and even ice cream, until she drops him a tip to get rid of him. Dalton leaves behind a green backpack that the woman passes by and takes before leaving the pool.

Also at the pool, Sonny bumps into Lulu, and they sit and talk. She suggests that he give up his pier, because in doing so, it would take Measure C off the ballot and spare her mother more bad press. Sonny asks her to trust that he is working on it.

Sonny also has a conversation with his ex-wife, Nina. He wants to know why she gave a scathing interview to the paper. She explains that Tracy had blackmailed her, and she had to protect the family. Sonny understands her reasoning and the two connect for the first time in ages. He tells her about his concerns for his children, and they agree that the story doesn’t always end when you think it does. Might they reunite?

Two Familiar Faces Return

Rocco is dressed up and seated for breakfast when Leisl joins him. She tells him that she had always hoped that he would reach out to her eventually. They discuss Britt, and her mother explains that she loved her daughter for exactly who she was. Others didn’t always understand her, but Leisl loved her. She fills Rocco in on some details before leaving. She then visits Nina and asks what sort of trouble she has gotten herself into.

Sasha and Jason are on a private jet out of the country. Baby Daisy is asleep as Sasha cheerleads Jason and strongly suggests that he search for the love he deserves. In the final scene of today’s episode, Sasha knocks on a door, and when it opens, she introduces her father, Robert Scorpio, to his granddaughter, Daisy.
