‘General Hospital’ Recap for July 22: Portia Tells Willow the Truth

So many important things happened on the July 22, 2025, episode of “General Hospital!” Portia finally told Willow the truth, Sidwell caved to Sonny’s demands, and that wedding that no one wants to see happen is imminent.

Brook Lynn Updates Tracy on Firing Lois

ABC

Brook Lynn meets with Tracy at the Metro Court pool to bring her up to speed on the live segment that she filmed with Lois. Tracy is ready with the champagne because Deception’s products sold out, but BLQ isn’t feeling the joy. Lucy ambushed her by bringing her mom in, and she says that while doing the segment, she was okay, but after it was finished, she was furious. Tracy supports Brook Lynn firing Lois, but she wonders if it was the most professional move.

As the speak, they are interrupted by Martin, who excitedly tells Tracy that if she wants to continue with Measure C then it’ll be out of her pocket because Sidwell has pulled his funding. Tracy is furious, but will fund things on her own if it means running Sonny out of town. Martin leaves, and BLQ is upset by what she overheard. She and Tracy disagree on the impact of Sonny. Tracy insists that he ruins lives, and Brook Lynn says that getting rid of him will add to the pain of Gio’s life.

As Tracy and BLQ are talking, Lois stays behind at the studio to speak with Flora. They have some tea, and Lois fills her in on why Brook Lynn is so angry with her. Flora suggests that more of the blame should fall on her mother because it was she who guided her in supporting Brook Lynn during her teenage pregnancy. Lois still insists on taking responsibility for the choices that she has made, but she feels better after sharing things with Flora.

Portia Tells Willow That Drew Is Blackmailing Her

ABC

Portia seems firm in her decision to tell the truth about altering Heather Webber’s lab results, to get out from under Drew’s blackmail of her. She calls Isaiah into her office, and while not sharing all the details, she tells him that she believes her position at the hospital is likely to come to an end. He is as supportive as usual and tells her that if she has to go down, then to make sure she goes down fighting.

Meanwhile, at the nurse’s station, Willow gives Elizabeth an official invite to her wedding. Liz hopes that Willow ends up as happy with Drew as she thinks that she will be. Next, Willow goes to see Portia with an invitation. When Portia realizes what it is, she throws the envelope in the trash. She then tells Willow that, since sugarcoating things with her hasn’t worked, she is going to tell her the truth about Drew.

Portia then begins spilling all the details about how Drew has been blackmailing her. She tells Willow that he wants her to alter Michael’s hospital records to make him look like a drug addict so that she will get custody of Wylie and Amelia. Willow looks horrified.

Sidwell Caves to Sonny’s Demands

Sidwell calls Sonny and tells him that he will meet his demands and that Sonny had better reciprocate. Right after hanging up, Sonny has a conversation with Laura and tells her to cut ties with him. He has had bad press from his ex; he is a suspect in Natalia’s death, and more trouble is brewing, so she must distance herself. He tells her that the Measure C problems will soon disappear, and her career as mayor will no longer be at risk.

Sidwell arrives at Drew’s house for a meeting that also includes Jordan and Martin. He tells them he is withdrawing his funding that supports Measure C and that he is no longer pursuing the process, Sonny. He explains that Sonny has kidnapped Marco, and he is willing to risk Marco’s life. After the meeting, Jordan visits Laura to inform her about what has transpired. She suggests that at this point Sonny may be just as dangerous as Sidwell.

Drew steps outside, and Martin sees paper on the floor. It’s an old letter addressed to Monica with kids’ scribbles all over it. He shows it to Drew, who assumes it’s trash. Martin goes on to read the letter, looking stunned.

Meanwhile, at PCPD, Lucas is insisting that Marco was kidnapped. Chase is listening but isn’t necessarily believing it. He seems to insinuate that Marco might just be ghosting Lucas. ADA Turner overhears and wants it treated as a potential abduction. She brings in Sonny for questioning and tells him that if Marco doesn’t surface within 24 hours, he will be arrested.
