‘General Hospital’ Recap for July 30: Several Truths Revealed

Today’s episode of “General Hospital” is all about the truth and how it changes everything. Willow wakes up much calmer and clearer-headed. Rocco still needs more information on his earliest days, and Drew and Michael fight it out.

Here’s a fresh recap of everything that happened on GH for Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

The Truth Changes Things

ABC
GENERAL HOSPITAL – Tabyana Ali as Trina (Disney/Christine Bartolucci)

First up today on GH, Isaiah stops in to talk to Portia in her office. He is happy to see that she is still there and hopes that she will rethink submitting her resignation to the hospital. He also reminds Portia that she can trust him if she wants to share what is going on. Portia still isn’t cracking on that, but she appreciates his support.

Meanwhile, Trina has stopped in to talk to her dad. Curtis tells her about what happened at Drew’s wedding and says that he is hopeful that maybe now Kai will see through Drew’s dishonesty. Even if Kai realizes that he made a mistake, Trina isn’t sure that she can trust him again. Curtis talks to her about the importance of forgiveness and second chances, when they are warranted.

After Trina leaves, her mom, Portia shows up and tells Curtis that she can’t live in limbo anymore. She is ready to hand in her resignation and face the consequences.

Speaking of honesty, Rocco visits his grandmother for a chat. He tells Laura all about finding Obrecht and how cool he thinks that she is. Rocco has read all of the horrible stories about her online, but thinks she feels different now. Laura agrees that over the last few years, Obrecht had lived in Port Charles, and she had changed and grown.

Rocco explains how upset Lulu and Dante were about him seeking her out, and Laura tells him it’s a touchy situation. He says that he loved hearing stories about himself that his parents could never share, and Laura tells him to explain it to them exactly that way.

After Rocco leaves, Laura calls her daughter and asks her to come to her office. Once Lulu is there, she tells her that the harder she fights Rocco on Obrecht, the harder Rocco will sneak and push back. She encourages her to be supportive of his natural curiosity.

Everyone Is Fighting at the Pool

ABC
GENERAL HOSPITAL -Rick Hearst as Ric Lansing (Disney/Christine Bartolucci)

It’s a busy day at the Metro Court pool, but no one seems to be swimming. Ric and Nina are at a table in a corner discussing Willow. She wants to hire him to keep representing Willow in her custody case, but she doesn’t want her daughter to know that she is footing the bill. Ric suggests she tell her, since lies are what created the current mess.

Maxie arranged another failed meeting with Brook Lynn and Lulu. The two fought over hurting each other’s kids before Lulu bounced. Maxie then sat with Nina and heard all about Willow and Drew’s failed wedding.

Kai bumped into Joss, and they got into it over Drew. She wonders if he is finished trusting Drew, and Kai said that he had been trusting his values, not another person. He sees Trina, and they get into it. After he again tries to defend his dishonesty to her, Trina tells him that she can’t get past his betrayal of her parents and ends the conversation.

Michael Figures Out Just How Low Drew Was Willing to Go

ABC
GENERAL HOSPITAL – Cameron Mathison as Drew Cain (Disney/Christine Bartolucci)

Willow wakes up at Elizabeth’s, much calmer and more level-headed. When she sees Liz, she tells her that she understands that going to Carly’s the night before was a huge mistake. She can’t believe how she has let Drew control and shape her life for the last year. She realizes now that Drew love bombed her life straight to hell. As they continue to talk, Nina arrives with clothes for Willow, and she invites her in.

Nina is hoping for a little bit of grace from Willow, but it’s not happening today. Willow thanks her for bringing her clothes, but still wants nothing to do with her. She tells her that she blames her just as much as she blames Drew for losing her kids. What happens next will be on Willow’s terms. Nina leaves and texts Ric that he is hired.

Ric happily stops at Liz’s to see Willow. He tells her that he will continue to represent her and that she needs to play by the rules. If they were in court this week, she would lose her kids, but by October, she will likely have visitation back. He promises to help her rebuild her credibility.

Meanwhile, at the Qs, Drew has asked to see Michael. When he arrives, he tells Michael that Willow has left him and asks Michael to do the right thing and let Willow see her kids. Michael tells Drew that Willow was physically removed the night before because of her hysterics, and he doesn’t trust her at all right now.

As they talk, Michael accuses Drew of blocking Willow’s visit to him in Germany. Michael realizes that she did make the trip, and Drew paid off the woman at the desk to block the visit. If that hadn’t happened, there is a good chance that Willow and Michael would have reconciled. After Drew leaves, Willow arrives, and Michael quickly realizes that she and Drew really are finished. She apologizes for the night before and stays very calm while once again asking to see the kids.

As Willow is with Michael, Drew shows up on Liz’s doorstep hoping to see his runaway bride. As Liz explains that she’s not there, she accidentally clues Drew into the fact that it wasn’t Nina who told Willow the truth, but it was Curtis.
