It’s clear after watching today’s episode of GH that they are laying the groundwork for whatever is coming next. Chase blew his wife off in favor of working an extra shift, Ava cut a deal with Alexis, and Anna is snatched from the docks.
Here is a full recap of everything that happened on “General Hospital” on Monday, Aug. 4, 2025.
Anna Is Snatched From the Docks
ABCChase and Brook Lynn are enjoying a dinner out when he decides to bring up the topic of adoption. It is something that they haven’t discussed since she found out that Gio is her son. Brook Lynn insists that while she loves Chase, she is no longer ready to begin the adoption process. He suggests that since it is so lengthy, they could get the ball rolling, and once a child is available, she will likely feel better. BLQ insists that this isn’t the right time because she doesn’t want to do anything to cause Gio to feel any more unwanted than he already does.
Chase lies to Brook Lynn and tells her that work is calling when he calls to see if he can pick up an extra shift. He sees Gio as he leaves and strikes up a conversation with him. Gio had just left the pool where he had been with Emma. She told him that she needs to break into the lab because it is her idea. He insists that he do it because she already has a list of prior arrests that will likely get her in trouble if she gets caught doing it.
After Gio left, Josslyn appeared to fill Emma in on her latest plans. She explains that she is going to Australia and has resigned from her position with Dalton. She tells Emma that she will get a call for the job and not to take it because Dalton is a slimeball. Joss tells Emma that he has made many passes at her.
Anna is down at the docks, where she bumps into Liesl. The two discuss Britta and Jason’s claim that he saw her. This leads to a conversation about how they both wish that they had been better mothers. Eventually, Liesl leaves, and Anna calls Carly, asking to meet with her about Joss. Once Anna hangs up the phone, someone in black puts a hood over her head and drags her away.
Britt Is in Demand
ABCNext, we see Britt locked away in her resort hotel room in Croatia. She argues with Pascal about needing freedom, and she also says that Greta needs to return to Port Charles for another exchange to have something to work on. Britt sees a photo online of Liesl and Rocco and gets emotional. She pulls it together when her boss calls and demands that if she doesn’t have any data to work on, then she needs her freedom.
Meanwhile, back in Port Charles, Joss learns that her alias is named Kelcie and that she will meet Vaughn in New York City before going to the 5 Poppies resort in Croatia together. While they speak, Carly calls Jack and invites him to join her for a drink. He hangs up and tells Joss her mom is at the Metro Court and to go and tell her she is leaving. Joss listens and at first insists to Carly that she is going to visit an old family friend in Australia. Of course, Carly isn’t buying it, so Joss needs to twist her story until it becomes a believable plan. Brennan shows up for that drink as Carly is saying farewell to Joss.
After Brennan sits down, the couple catches up, and Carly takes a call from Anna, who wants to talk.
Ava Hatches a Plan to Cut Ric Out
ABCKristina runs into Cody at GH, getting a mole checked. Molly has made him paranoid that it is cancerous, so he goes in to confirm that it is only a freckle. He contemplates backing out of his deal with Kristina until she offers him another $10K to try and seduce Ava. Kristina sends him to her mom’s office to talk to Ava again.
It has been a while, but Molly is finally meeting Ric for dinner. She tells him all about her latest writing project, and Liz crashes their table before she can finish. Liz tells Ric about Willow not listening to his advice, and he says that she needs to learn to be as kind and calm as Liz is. Liz then joins Molly and Ric for dinner.
Meanwhile, at Alexis’ offices, Ava has arrived with a proposition. If Alexis can deliver a final payment of $1.5, then the deal is complete. Alexis believes that there is too much risk involved if they cut Ric out, until Ava dangles a key in front of her. If Alexis gets her the cash, then she gets the key to wherever the proof of Kristina’s crimes is stashed away. No more blackmail, it’ll all be behind them. Alexis agrees, and Cody storms in as they are finishing up.
