GH’s Finn Carr on Filming Those Heavy Scenes as Rocco

GH’s Rocco Falconeri is going through a tough time. Brook Lynn went digging into his birth story to get revenge on Lulu, but then came to her senses and realized that if she followed through with her plan, it would be Rocco who would be hurt, not just Lulu. BLQ may have found her moral compass, but she forgot to destroy the file on Rocco, and of course, he and Danny stumbled upon it.

Rocco immediately went to his parents, Lulu and Dante, for answers, and they told him the truth. “He’s going through a lot of stuff right now,” Rocco’s portrayer on “General Hospital”, Finn Carr, recently told Soap Opera Digest.

Rocco Feels Like Everyone Has Lied to Him

While Lulu and Dante have been transparent with Rocco now, it might be a little too late. Learning that Britt Westbourne stole their embryo and then gave birth to Rocco has left him feeling unwanted. He believes that he would never have been born if not for Britt’s devious and criminal behavior. He needs answers and doesn’t necessarily trust his parents to provide them.

“I think he just wants to get to the bottom of it. He feels a lot of dishonesty from his parents — I guess they haven’t lied to him directly, but they withheld information. They didn’t tell him the whole truth, and I think that is the reason why it’s hitting him so hard and why he’s so strongly wanting to get to the bottom of everything,” explains Carr.

“He’s definitely trying to figure out his parents’ intention with how he came into the world. He talks a lot about their motivations behind having him, if they wanted to have him. That’s kind of the main thing going on in his head, that he is really wondering if they wanted him, if it was their choice to have him, or if he was kind of forced on them without them wanting him.”

Finn Carr Says the Heavy GH Scenes Are ‘So Much Fun to Film’

Those “General Hospital” scenes where Rocco found out about Britt were loaded with heavy emotion, but Finn Carr praised his co-stars and enjoyed the whole experience.

He explained to Soap Opera Digest, “I knew those scenes were going to be heavy and that there was going to be a lot of emotion around them, so I kind of talked to the other actors and we went through the scenes a few times. I really tried to get into [Rocco’s] mindset, and I had such amazing actors to help me get there with them. They were so much fun to film, those scenes.”

He continued, “I love working with Alexa and Dom because of how into it they are, and what great actors they are. It just makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable. The emotions were pretty strong, pretty, pretty real, but they were really fun to play out and explore. I didn’t know how I was going to react to the information, but I put myself in the place to just see what happens when I go on set. All the stuff that came out was really cool and interesting.”

While Lulu and Dante are hoping to put this issue to rest quickly, the GH writers have other ideas. Rocco has reached out to Liesl, his newfound grandmother, for information. Then there is the fact that Britt is supposed to be dead. If she is, then she has a lookalike that Jason will spot this week on “General Hospital”!
