One More Osbourne Family Show Set to Hit the Air

The Osbourne family are no stranger to reality TV, having starred on “The Osbournes” from 2002 until 2005. Following the announcement of Black Sabbath musician Ozzy Osbourne’s death on July 22, there has been an outpouring of love from friends and family, and now, there is talk of a new show featuring his family.

A New Osbourne TV Show Could Be Released

The potential new show will give fans a better look into the family’s life, two decades after their reality show wrapped. The BBC is “locked in conversations over the future of a long-gestating documentary series about the Osbourne family following the death of Ozzy,” Deadline reports on July 23. Ozzy was 76 when he died.

The publication notes how the BBC had previously confirmed a ten-part docuseries called “Home to Roost” in 2022, which would follow the lives of Ozzy, Sharon, and their children, Kelly and Jack, as they moved back to the UK.

The show has no premiere date, but Deadline reports that footage was previously filmed. Producer Expectation “filmed with the family for a number of months,” Deadline reports. So, does this mean that fans will get to see Ozzy again, posthumously?

Deadline reports that sources have stated that the show may be turned into a documentary film, but the details are currently unconfirmed. Ozzy’s family has also requested privacy at this time.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the statement from the family reads. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

Fans & Celebs May Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy was loved by many, as indicated by the outpouring of love that followed the announcement of his death. The tributes included ones from celebrities like Jason Momoa and Adam Sandler. Osbourne had previously made a cameo on Sandler’s “Little Nicky” film, and the actor reflected on how much he loved the musician with a heartfelt Instagram post on July 22.

“Loved him a lot like we all did! Sending love to the family, and so happy to have spent time with the legend himself,” Sandler ended his message.

Sharon Osbourne has not returned to social media following her husband’s death, but sources say she is “heartbroken,” People reports. The couple’s love had withstood decades, and they had been married since 1982.

“Sharon’s heartbroken but very proud of the life the family built together,” a source said, People reports. “Everyone’s rallying around her. She’s been the rock of this family for decades, and now it’s her turn to be held up.” The publication also reports that Sharon’s children have been with her and are “making sure she’s never alone.”
