Helmed by Alan Cumming as host, “The Traitors” has seen pro athletes, reality TV giants and game show legends travel to a remote castle in the Scottish Highlands to compete for a grand prize worth up to $250,000, since it first debuted on Peacock in 2023. Playing in one of two roles, contestants are sorted as either Faithfuls, whose job it is to root out the murderous moles hidden in their ranks, or Traitors, who must evade detection all season long, all the while “killing” off their competitors in the dead of night.
Following the official cast announcement for the latest installment of “The Traitors,” fans learned that former Olympic athletes, a bevvy of “Real Housewives” alums, and even several former winners of “Survivor” would be storming the castle for Season 4.
The cast of the upcoming season similarly features Donna Kelce, the mother of NFL superstars Travis and Jason Kelce, and the future mother-in-law of international pop superstar Taylor Swift.

While her sons celebrated Donna’s wild-card casting in June, Jason revealed that he is “anxious” about 72-year-old mom’s new gig.
Jason Kelce Worries His Mom is Too ‘Sweet’ to Win ‘The Traitors’
Over the weekend, while attending the American Century celebrity golf tournament, Jason Kelce spoke to Entertainment Tonight about his mother’s upcoming appearance on “The Traitors,” revealing that he’s “anxious to see how she did.”
While Season 4 finished filming earlier this month, it remains unclear as to when the murder-mystery reality series will return to Peacock audiences. As a fan of the show, Jason added that he’s unsure whether his mother is cut out for the “cutthroat” competition.

“She’s so sweet and so kind,” added Jason, 37. “I feel like in that show, you have to be manipulative and cunning, and you’ve gotta be cutthroat.”
Alongside his younger brother Travis, the Kelce brothers have won a collective four Super Bowls over the course of their NFL careers. Jason, now retired, spent his career as a center for the Philadelphia Eagles, while Travis continues to play tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Since rising to public prominence after her sons faced off in Super Bowl LVII, Donna has since appeared in two Hallmark holiday movies, as well as in ads for brands like Pillsbury and Ziploc. “The Traitors” Season 4 will mark her first foray into reality television.
Travis Kelce Gives ‘Traitors’ Another Chance After Donna’s Casting
While her elder son reported being nervous to see his mother compete on the upcoming season, Travis, now 35, said that Donna’s casting is the only thing that kept him interested in the Emmy Award-winning competition series.
A self-proclaimed “Traitors” fan, Travis, who is now globally recognized as Taylor Swift’s fiance, previously reported that he’d grown bored with the series after its first season.
“It was good for one, and then I realized once you see one [season], you’ve seen them all,” said Travis on his podcast “New Heights.”
Though “The Traitors” first began in the UK, the American iteration is still in its infancy compared to competitors like “Survivor,” “The Amazing Race,” “Big Brother” and even “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” In fact, many former players from the other long-running series’ have since appeared on “The Traitors,” including Cirie Fields, Boston Rob and Parvati Shallow from “Survivor,” Rachel Reilly and Cody Calafiore from “Big Brother,” and former “Drag Race” winners Bob the Drag Queen and Monet X Change.
According to Travis, however, it is the contestants’ connections to other series that has kept him from being able to fully commit to “The Traitors.”
“I don’t want to be force-fed how good this person was on ‘Survivor’,” added Travis, though his tune has notably changed since his mother was announced for the official Season 4 cast.
Since then, Travis has confirmed that he will be tuning in for Season 4, though he similarly reported feeling “anxious” about Donna’s performance on the upcoming season. Speaking on his mother’s casting at the 2025 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in June, Travis echoed his older brother, telling fans that “there is no evil side” to Donna Kelce.

“She’s the sweetest,” Travis added.
While Donna’s motherly sensibilities might make her an excellent addition to the Faithfuls this season, it could also prove a powerful mask if she’s selected as a Traitor, but only if she can shove aside her “sweet” disposition long enough to stomach targeting her unwitting competitors from the shadows of the “Traitors” turret.
Stay tuned for further updates on “The Traitors” Season 4 premiere date, eliminations, and cast revelations as they become available.
