A new promo trailer for “RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars 10” revealed that stars like Chappell Roan, Cynthia Erivo, and Ariana Grande will feature as guest judges on the forthcoming season. Dubbed the “Tournament of All Stars,” the landmark season is set to begin airing on Paramount+ on Friday, May 9.
Chappell Roan, Ariana Grande and More Join The Judges Panel
In addition to sharing glimpses at the record-breaking 18 queens competing this season, the promo trailer similarly revealed that Chappell Roan, Ariana Grande, Ice Spice, Colman Domingo, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Kate Beckinsale would be among the guest judges joining RuPaul, Michelle Visage, and rotating judges Carson Kressley, Ross Matthews, TS Madison, Jamal Sims, and Law Roach on the judging panel.
The trailer shows a clip in which Roan enters the iconic “Drag Race” Werk Room in a wig cap and robe before saying, “Do any of you queers have something sexy I can slip into?” The “Pink Pony Club” singer can later be seen trying on the contestants’ drag and posing for selfies with the queens.
Roan is later seen seated behind the judging panel in a plasticine blow-up doll look.

“Wicked” co-stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo also feature heavily in the trailer. The duo first appear as they enter the Werk Room together and announce, “The witches will see you now!”
The pair are later seen behind the judges panel. “It’s good to see us, isn’t it?” says Erivo before Grande adds, “No need to respond. That was a rhetorical.” They are later seen waving fans printed with the word ‘Sashay.’

Roan, Grande, and Erivo are joined on “the biggest dream team of celebrity guest judges” by “The Four Seasons” star Colman Domingo, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, and “Total Recall” star Kate Beckinsale.
‘All Stars 10’ Trailer Reveals Further Format Details
In addition to revealing the season’s guest judges, the trailer for “RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars 10” shared further details about the season’s unique format, which is being referred to as a “Tournament of All Stars.”
When the season was announced on April 12, it was revealed that “All Stars 10” would feature the series largest-ever cast of 18 queens. “All Stars” seasons have, in the past, typically featured fewer contestants than regular seasons. Prior to “All Stars 10,” the largest “Drag Race” cast was featured on Season 15, with 16 queens competing. To compensate for the high-volume cast, a new format was introduced for the season, dubbed the “Tournament of All Stars.”
The cast announcement for the season, which aired on April 23, revealed that the 18 queens would be separated into three brackets of six queens each. The recently released trailer expanded on the format, revealing that the queens would compete within their brackets “for a chance to face off in the finals.”
Billboard clarified the tournament format, revealing that the top three queens from each bracket would move forward to the semifinal round of the competition. In the end, the queens that make it to the finale will face off in a Lip Sync Smackdown for the Crown.
“We’ve all done ‘Drag Race’ before,” contestant Ginger Minj can be heard saying in the trailer before adding, “But not like this.”
