“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Teddi Mellencamp is sharing an update following her February 12th surgery.
On February 28, Mellencamp uploaded a picture of herself lying in bed. She smiled softly while looking at the camera.
In the caption of the Instagram post, she referenced that she underwent emergency surgery after doctors discovered several tumors in her brain. According to Mellencamp, her staples from the surgery have been removed. In addition, she is ready to start undergoing radiation.
“Staples out and ready for radiation,” wrote Mellencamp.
Several Bravo fans took to the post’s comments section to give Mellencamp words of support. For instance, Mellencamp’s close friend and former RHOBH castmate, Kyle Richards was quick to comment on the post.
“Gorgeous as ever!!! 🤩💪🏼🩷,” commented Richards.
Tamra Judge, who co-hosts the podcast “Two Ts In A Pod” with Mellencamp, also commented on the upload.
“I’m so sorry you have to go through this. I love you so much ❤️ Keep being your strong self!” wrote Judge.
In addition, “Real Housewives of Orange County” alum Meghan King commented, “How do you look so freaking gorgeous.”
Teddi Mellencamp Gave a Different Update on February 26
Mellencamp gave her first health update following her surgery in a February 26 Instagram upload. She said she was “grateful for the incredible surgeons, doctor, and nurses who have made [her] surgery a success and [her] recovery process comfortable.”
Mellencamp also shared that “more tumors were removed than expected: 4 in total.”
In addition, Mellencamp expressed gratitude to her family, friends, and children, Dove, Slate, and Cruz, whom she shares with her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave. She also thanked fans who have kept her in their thoughts.
Mellencamp announced doctors discovered she had several tumors in her brain in a February 12 Instagram upload. The RHOBH alum, who was diagnosed with Stage II Melanoma in 2022, said she was experiencing excruciating headaches “for the last several weeks.” She said that she decided to go to the hospital after the pain became “unbearable.” After she received a CT scan and a MRI, it was determined that the tumors were the case of her headaches.
“Two of the tumors will be surgically removed. The remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date,” wrote Mellencamp.
Kyle Richards Shared Information About Teddi Mellencamp on Her Amazon Live
Richards briefly spoke about Mellencamp in a February 18 Amazon Live. She said she has been constantly visiting Mellencamp at the hospital as she recovers. Mellencamp was staying at Richards’ Encino home a few days out of the week as she navigated her separation from Arroyave before her brain tumor diagnosis.
“We’ve been with Teddi every day. Even sleeping there. We have been rotating. You know, she has a lot of people that love her. and a great support system. Thank God. Because that’s really important in times like this, the doctor said,” said Richards while filming her Amazon Live.
