“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Teddi Mellencamp is expressing gratitude for her positive relationship with her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, amid her cancer battle.
During the March 13 episode of her podcast, “Two Ts In A Pod,” co-hosted by Tamra Judge, Mellencamp noted that doctors discovered she has several tumors in her brain and two in her lungs. Mellencamp underwent emergency surgery to remove four of the brain tumors in February 2025. She is currently undergoing radiation and immunotherapy for the remaining tumors, which are metastases of her melanoma.
Mellencamp told Judge that the situation has been “a wake-up call.” She said, however, that “there’s certain things that [she is] really grateful about like [her] and Edwin being friends.” Mellencamp said she has enjoyed “being able to laugh” with him and having “him there” amid her health issues.
Mellencamp also said she is grateful to be “living.”

In a March 10 Instagram Story, Mellencamp showed that Arroyave, who is the father of her three children, Cruz, Slate, and Dove, was taking her to her first immunotherapy session. In the March 13 “Two Ts In a Pod” episode, Mellencamp said she is unable to drive because of her brain tumors.
The March 10 Instagram video showed Mellencamp and Arroyave playfully talking about their divorce while in the car. In the caption, Mellencamp wrote her estranged husband “has turned into a pretty good divorce buddy.” According to Mellencamp, Arroyave’s post-separation behavior towards her bettered after doctors discovered the tumors in her brain.
“Once your ex wife almost dies he saw the light. I am funny. Not jealous and good at helping him pick my replacement,” wrote Mellencamp.
Teddi Mellencamp Expressed Gratitude Toward Edwin Arroyave in a December 2024 Instagram Post
Mellencamp filed for divorce from Arroyave after 13 years of marriage in November 2024. The former Bravo star shared she was thankful for her 16-year-long relationship with Arroyave in a December 2024 Instagram upload. In the caption of the Instagram post, Mellencamp said she was particularly grateful that Arroyave introduced her to his eldest daughter, Isabella.
“I would never have known I wanted kids until meeting my amazing stepdaughter, Isabella. My love for her changed my life and 5 years later came Slate, then Cruz, and then our miracle baby Dove in 2020. I may be far from perfect but being a mother has been the greatest gift you could have given me. Thank you always and forever,” wrote Mellencamp in the post’s caption.
