“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Teddi Mellencamp shared a big update following her February 12 brain surgery and subsequent hospitalization.
In a March 4 Instagram Story, Mellencamp shared that she was returning home after being in the hospital for the last 16 days. The video shows Mellencamp emotionally singing along to the song, “Coming Home, Pt. II” by Skylar Gray while sitting in the passenger seat of a car.
In the caption, Mellencamp expressed gratitude to those who have helped her get to this point after doctors discovered she had several brain tumors.
“16 days and I get to come home!!!” wrote Mellencamp. “Thank you to all my loves and life savers for getting me to this.”
In another March 4 Instagram Story, Mellencamp showed that she was jogging on her treadmill. She said she was “starting back slow” following her surgery. She also said she was “very emotional” seeing her “body change” after the medical procedure. However, Mellencamp asserted that she is grateful that she is “moving [her] body.”
Teddi Mellencamp Opened up About Her Surgeries
In a February 12 Instagram post, Mellencamp announced that she was diagnosed with having brain tumors. She shared that she would have emergency surgery and would eventually be getting radiation.
Mellencamp, who was diagnosed with Stage II melanoma in 2022, announced that four of the brain tumors were removed in a February 28 Instagram upload.
Reality Blurb reported that Mellencamp let fans know she has brain cancer in a March 3 Instagram Story. The post showed Mellencamp spending time with two of her friends.
“Sometimes a little brain cancer is all you need to get your best friends to visit,” wrote Mellencamp in the post’s caption.
Edwin Arroyave Was by Teddi Mellencamp’s Side Following Her Surgery
Mellencamp’s estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, the father of her three children Dove, Cruz, and Slate, has been supporting Mellencamp following her February 12 surgery. According to Reality Blurb, Arroyave gave fans some information about Mellencamp shortly after the procedure.
“So many people asking for updates. All I will say right now is surgery went well. That said, I’ve never seen [Teddi] in so much pain. She’s finally getting some needed rest. I know she is so grateful for the outpouring of love,” wrote Arroyave on Instagram.
Mellencamp spoke about her relationship with Arroyave during a January 2025 episode of her podcast, “Two Ts in A Pod,” which she co-hosts with Tamra Judge. Mellencamp said she considers Arroyave her “family” despite their separation. In addition, she said she still has love for her estranged husband.
“He’s my family. So whether we’re going through up or downs and we’re deciphering our next steps, like, I love Edwin,” said Mellencamp on her podcast.
